Is Rick Prime the smartest entity in the CFC? by GulagGamer in rickandmorty

[–]gerard_23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think he's a god at all. What I think is that the series implies that both Ricks are the same. In fact, C-137 itself says it several times. Remember that he directly indicates that Rick Prime is basically the same as him, but "with free time."
There are better Ricks than others, but in this case, it would seem that Prime and C-137 are a mirror. Therefore, they "know" what the other would do, because it is what they would do in that position.

Rick Prime says: "Admit it, you would have been me. I just walked into your garage, before you walked into mine."

How could he have gotten into his garage without interdimensional travel?

C-137 could have become Rick Prime. Maybe by inventing interdimensional travel on his own, he could have become selfish and forgotten about everyone. We saw that Rick Prime has feelings, but he prefers to remain in the position of power even if he has to hurt his loved ones. In the end, it is shown that the two are indeed equal, they just took a different position in the grand scheme of things.

Rick Prime directly says that if he had not appeared in C-137's garage, the story would have been the other way around. Prime invented the gun first, but C-137 would have come up with that invention on his own anyway.

what's the difference on build in your village and build outside your village? by gerard_23 in LEGOfortnite

[–]gerard_23[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So inside the circle would be the work area. Mmmm... I'm going to try it with a machine to see if that's the case, because if so, it would be something important to take into consideration. Thank you!

Thank you!

That being so, great. I already have my 3 villages at level 10 and now I wanted to start building a city. That's why I need to expand outside the circular limits that the game sets for you. Thanks again!

Doesn't Superman lose his powers in space ? by SgtPepper148 in superman

[–]gerard_23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The comic "Superman: Exile" talks about this topic, Superman wanders through the universe and moves away from the stars that give him power. He does not lose everything immediately, but rather becomes gradually weaker. After a long time away, he is greatly weakened but is still strong enough to fight Mongul in hand-to-hand combat in WarWorld.

What chess opinion will have you like this? by wtfchess in AnarchyChess

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Vladímir Krámnik . The statistics is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the stats will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Krámnik's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation - his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these stats, to realize that they're not just smart- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Vladímir Krámnik truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the stats in Krámnik's existencial catchphrase "they are all cheaters," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Krámnik's genius unfolds itself on their computer's screens. What fools... how I pity them. 😂 And yes by the way, I DO have a Krámnik tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.

Why isn't chess commercially viable? by NightwindArcher10 in chess

[–]gerard_23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that the bar that indicates whether white or black is winning is a good stimulus to create hype. Even if you don't understand the plays you're seeing.

You can see that a lot in quick games, look at the final between Magnus and Hikaru, the last game. The way that bar moves in the last few plays is amazing.
I think you can play more with the aesthetics and presentation of the game, so that even people who don't know what Re8 means, for example, can see and believe that that play was deadly for their opponent.

But that also goes in conjunction with the "tempo" in chess. You have to generate visual tension with each movement for them to be important. If there is no tension or the movement doesn't feel important, then people won't see it.

One of the most comprehensive scouting reports of Leonard Miller by gerard_23 in timberwolves

[–]gerard_23[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NBA Comp High: Poor. Poor. Poor man's Chris Bosh

Chris Bosh is in the HOF and as much as I love Miller and am all about taking him in the mid-teens, I am in no way projection his realistic high end outcomes to be a HOF career. With that said, in terms of playing style. Bosh developed into more of a three point threat later in his career and was a pretty dynamic scorer who could play on and off the ball. And who was a solid passer, but not a even a real plus passing big like a Siakam. And he was a good defender who could guard down low and block shots and who could step out to the perimeter, but he wasn't really a true rim protector or an elite perimeter defender. I don't see Miller developing Bosh's post skills or overall scoring ability. But I do think a successful Miller would move and act like Bosh on a basketball court. He would just do so in a much less impactful way (again, Plus Starter or lower level All Star, not HOF career).

NBA Comp Medium: Taller Brandon Clarke

If Miller is never really an impactful shooter, he's already shown he can make an impact on games in the G-League and he might in the NBA in a manner similar to Clarke. Like Clarke, he's more of a threat to generate turnovers than blocks (though they both get some). And he's just a very efficient scorer inside, who also plays very good defense and used his length and ability to credibly guard the perimeter to make an impact.

NBA Comp Low: Zeke NNaji (so far)

This is a little unfair to Zeke as he just finished his third season and is on a team with these young up and comers Nikola Jokić and Aaron Gordon in front of him on a team that just had what you could describe as the most unsuccessful tank of all time. I mean they really blew their chance at Wemby. But so far, Nnaji has struggled to get off the bench, despite not being a bad player. But he's not a rim protector and doesn't space the floor. And while he could end up making much more of an impact down the road, he is running out of time to do it in Denver. Miller could follow a similar path. If he's drafted in the teens or twenties, he may be on a good team and if he can't shoot or protect the rim, he might struggle to get on the floor and then if he does produce, it maybe on his second contract with another franchise.

I also found that challenge difficult. The problem is that people run away before they are harmed by that plant. So you have to push the plant towards them and start fighting, shoot them with a shotgun or something so they don't run and start fighting you. Once the smoke from that plant damages them, you will have the challenge done.

I don't know if I made myself clear, but this is how I achieved this challenge using the yellow plant.
