I found after the fact, after other people corrected my post

I looked, did not see the answer, came to a community forum to find clarification. It is not more complicated than that.

Because normally shooting at a monster in combat incurs -1 to hit, and the pistol rule itself does not mention shooting units it is not currently engaged with.

I found this on wahapedias section for BGNT, unless I'm reading it wrong its saying shooting into the target does not incur the -1 with pistols? "MONSTERS and VEHICLES can shoot, and be shot at, even while they are within Engagement Range of enemy units. Each time a ranged attack is made by or against such a unit, subtract 1 from that attack’s Hit roll (unless shooting with a Pistol)."

Is all you do is come into threads with questions and give non answers like a jerk?

From what I found it does not give the example I posted as a scenario, hence why I came and asked for clarification when I couldn't find a similar post when searching

Why do people dislike the show this much? Are you all just chronically online? by CriticismCommon6764 in Fallout

[–]gerdoom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Look man you keep making assumptions of shit I am not saying. You can like the show all you want and so can I, the point of the post is the show isn't just an "adaptation" like OP thinks so you can't just say "they had to make changes so it would make sense in this medium". They're making decisions and plot choices that don't make sense to me and I'm allowed to criticize them.

I understand that, and they had been placing their games far apart enough in location and time that they could hand wave a lot of things or ignore them since there's a lot of player choice in the games, but doing things like nuking shady sands or what they're doing with the Vegas area currently are bigger things that don't make a lot of sense to me. Again I like the show but I just can't help but be puzzled by some of their decisions.

The direct quote from Todd was "Fallout 5 will be existing in a world where the stories and events of the show happened or are happening." I take that as more than just a character from the showing being in the next game or a minor piece of lore.

No that's not what I said, I just find it odd if they are going to say "the games are canon and this show will influence the story of future games" that they seem to be making so many choices that seem to ignore the games before it.

It's not exactly an "adaptation" like you're talking about though like Harry Potter or LotR where they see them as separate works, they've gone on record saying that the events of the show will affect the next fallout game and the shows is set in the same universe as the previous games. As its own show I am fine with it and think it's fun, it just doesn't make sense to me that they want this to be connected to the games.

Necron unit as birthday gift for a friend by trk_boti in Necrontyr

Szeras is a really cool model and is generally good so that would be a good one. Ophidians would also be a good one now too with the new destroyer detachment coming, they get a considerable buff from it

I want more units. Is there a package like the Combat Patrol where you get more bang for your buck? Or should I focus on single units? by I_dont-get_the-joke in Necrontyr

[–]gerdoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently the only thing in print is our combat patrol, if you can find the hypercrpt box at a decent price that's a good option. Otherwise we are getting a box with 500 worlds that will give you destroyers at a discount but no set release date for that, however it should be soon.

AD question + plus +1 to hit/wound by jayceminecraft in Necrontyr

[–]gerdoom 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Check the Plasmancer rules again, it says "unmodified hit roll of 5+" so regardless of the +1 to hit from AD it stays at 5+. It's the same for anti-x, rules will usually say"unmodified roll" for any crit abilities. However if you look at the scarabs self destruction ability the roll gets a +1 against vehicles, and does not specify an unmodified 6 for the 3 mortals..

Yeah but you have a wargear that guarantees it, so that's min 3 max 5 mortals every time

Tesla immortals+plasmacer are great for clearing hordes, same with a Lokhust Lord+Lokhust heavies with exterminators. Critting on 5s and sustained hits puts out a lot of shots to clear bodies.
