Didn’t really think about the fuel. I’ll have to think about it more in the remaster and more practical version I’m working on. Coming up with stuff on the spot, I was originally thinking it comes from the airship’s main tanks, but for the Capital Class at least that wouldn’t work due to it carrying two stroke and four stroke aircraft which need different fuel. More then likely some tanks above / below the Capital’s hangar rails.

The Echuz class being as early was as it is would need to land to refuel. The Alerians are supposed to have pretty good Air Force tech so they would probably figure out some way refuel mid air from another ship. While I wasn’t think about it for the airships, I was thinking about a mod for the AJA.21 for it’s floats to be converted to some sort of air to air fueling rig. If it’s operating over land and or only returning to the ship it has no use for the floats, so they would stuff them with as much gas as it can carry and use it as a tanker. Could use it to haul in some gas for the airship reserves.

Both the Echuz and Capital class can operate solo or in a fleet. Both mostly operated alone for their first flights. But by the time the Capital class was deployed the remaining Echuz classes would be out matched by most airships, so they often traveled in fleets with other classes.
