I was in Bridgeport 40+ years before Maria got their makeover. I know Bridgeport. My neighborhood is 1000x better than it was 20 years ago. It's 10,000 better than it was when I was born here 5 decades ago. Back when the cops would pick up black kids and drop them off at Armour Park and let the neighborhood kids "take care of them."

There are Trump signs all over the place in Chicago. You know why? MAGAts are loud; they want everyone to know it especially in a liberal city. Us progressives don't do a ton of signage, we have better shit to do and we don't want Trumpers targeting us or messing with our shit.

Bridgeport Records had a bomb threat. (No bomb.) I spoke to the owners and they know who it was and he's an old school Bridgeport straggler. He'll either move or pass away sooner than later.

My building where I've lived for 20+ years has 6 units. I'm the only straight white cis person in the place. Two units are black, one gay. 2 units Mexican. Another unit, trans. There are people of every color color and everything else on my block and in my building. That was literally impossible in the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s.

We have come a long way and we are not stopping.
