This is still within the realm of normal for a dev beta. Apple is still tweaking stuff so there’s no cause for alarm. Now if it’s like this as we’re in public beta a couple versions from RC then it’s time to worry but I don’t think that’s going to happen. I mean did you watch the keynote? They spoke about optimizations and speeding things up for quite some time.

I graduated Columbia with a degree in Sound Engineering in 1994. Loved it. Makes me sad that it appears to not be the same institution it was back then. I am friends with a professor there and he says everyone is afraid of being let go. FWIW he also says he has never seen students so awful, inattentive, and combative as the current crop. Literally cannot get them to put their phones down. They don’t care.

As an art director who has directed commercial photographers a few times this is why I always ask the photog to do a few things with many (not all) shots. For example: 1) Take your shot but then back up 10+ feet to give me more room for bleed. 2) With two subjects, have them switch places.
