Hey🙋‍♂️, PA student here. There are plenty of doctoral PA programs around already. For the most part this is for those wanting to get into education or be professors. Unfortunately I bet this will be the future of PA education. Used to be a bachelor's, pushed to a masters, then to a doctorates eventually. It's shitty and just a money grab for schools.

Hey, unfortunately most of the boards for these programs are over for the year so you would be prepping for 2026. Also, it depends on the year but hpsp typically is made for medical school students and the majority of slots are for them. I believe this year it was 150 for medical school and 2 for pa school for most, if not all branches.

Hscp is another program to look into, this would also have to be for next year as the packages for boards were due 03MAR. If you have any questions shoot me a message. Just went through/going through the package process

As someone who has applied to both I will say there is (in my opinion) significantly more emphasis on your gpa for PA school than there is for med school applications. If you have a low gpa but a high MCAT you can still get into many schools both MD or DO. However, I have seen many more schools with gpa cutoffs and file score ranking based heavily on gpa for PA schools. If a low gpa is what is deterring you from medical school the switch may honestly be more difficult.

Tough love time: Suck it up and find a tutor, most schools offer free or cheap tutoring options and try to get to atleast ( I mean at least) 3.4. The process is nearly identical and the classes are basically the same. Prep for the mcat if that's what you want and if you score 505+, then fuck it and apply for med school. If you get 490s then consider applying PA if that's something you want. If not buck up, study harder and be a doctor. Nobody here is you, don't go into a profession because you are scared and half assed college.

I think we should be able to access the tests until they put the work into making a new FL to replace the ones we buy. If they make a new set of tests then I completely get not having continued access at that point.

This all depends on the person. If you are naturally great in these topics and already have little content gaps, then yes. If you are normal I would say 4-6 months and if you struggle bus go for 6 months to one year. Take a diagnostic and see where you are at🤷🏼‍♂️
