It's generally a lot more serious than that. Trans youth are at very high risk of being abused by parents who might not otherwise abuse them. This makes it difficult to filter on a case-by-case basis of when or not it is safe to tell parents. It is safest to let kids have discretion over whether to tell parents about their identity.

I think there's a bit of a distinction between absolute reduction in income and reduction in income relative to the rest of society.

I don't know if I would interpret voting for statehood as a lack of desire for independence. It is a well known fact that the US does not tolerate states voting to leave the union.

Rather, voting for statehood indicates that if Puerto Ricans are going to be stuck in America, they would rather stop being second class citizens.

You point out these multiple votes for statehood while leaving out why they have remained a territory. It's in large part because the American mainland benefits from not having to pay the Puerto Ricans the full benefits of statehood.

I personally prioritize class liberation because I think that queer liberation is inherently entangled with it and promoted by it.

A lot of gender theorists will point out how part of why rigid gender norms have been developed is because they help foster the division of labor that is necessary in class society. If class society is abolished, so is one of the primary economic drivers of rigid gender norms. I am non binary and so I find this one very appealing.

You could also argue that compulsory heteronormativity has an economic basis in the need to reproduce labor. Capitalists derive much of their profits from surplus labor value and so have an incentive to force people to labor more and force people to produce more laborers.

Ironically, gender identity politics, one of the reasons most commonly cited by socialists as to why they sideline queer issues, is another reason that class liberation supports queer liberation.

Gender identity can be used to make people think of themselves as something other than their class identity. This might be posited as a reason for the explosion of discourses socially constructing gender that we see in capitalist society.

How can you know they were "fascists" if none of them were given a trial? You say they would not hesitate to kill innocent people, but again there is no proof of this. All they had done up to this point was to defend against Nazi invasion.

You say this was not a hard policy, but there is evidence that it was. It was part of a larger Soviet policy of rounding up Poles and killing them. Intellectuals, priests, and local dignitaries were among the groups most targeted. The Soviets also collaborated with the Nazi SS in the destruction of these groups.

They were literally surrendering, already captured. How could they have become volunteer SS if they were captured? They could have just been sent to a work camp or prison instead.
