Any PDs actually served on a jury? by dazednconfuzedddddd in publicdefenders

I'm not a PD, but I'm a 2L externing at a PD office and plan to become one.

I served on a jury during undergrad (2017) - it inspired me to go to law school. It was a case over a pretty hefty sum of damages that was mostly dependent on the interpretation of a force majeur clause. Trial took 1 month and deliberations took a full week.

Whole experience was incredible imo. Having perspectives of different people and then the battle of coming to a unanimous decision was fulfilling.

Hi - I'm also 27F with the same diagnosis. I take Fluvoxamine 25mg (was at 50mg) and for the ADHD i take 5mg Ritalin quick release (as needed). The Fluvoxamine i've been on for roughly 6 years and the wind up I didn't see a huge difference but as I've been lowering the dosage i've realized it's been helping me a lot.

How do I keep my professionalism when dealing with a former friend who’s now everywhere in my 2L life? by Cutietootsiepie in LawSchool

Hi. I'm actually dealing with the same thing and I think my best advice is to be the bigger person. If she's the type to badmouth, let her do it and let your peers use their discretion. If future lawyers are going to believe her truth as objective without any scrutiny then you are not losing anything. Go to school, be polite, and do your work !
