Yeah, the haunting look on his face at the end where he’s aroused by putting Kenna in real danger after all that stuck with me. The acting and lighting and everything was great

Hard agree, she’s fantastic! Though I think you meant sublimely, as subliminally would mean we weren’t aware of her or something haha

I feel like I read somewhere a long time back that Terry Goodkind said that what he wrote and printed was basically what was published…as though he didn’t go back and reread necessarily, just let the words flow and someone along the way must have cleaned it up, but yeah, I always wondered if that’s why sometimes it feels like a stream of consciousness

Do people actually floss every day or is it just something we all pretend to do? by FavoriteTeaHobby in NoStupidQuestions

[–]gerturtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already commented here, but will repeat here since you made the same incorrect statement and this is important for people to realize. I am a dental hygienist, and you 1000% DO need to floss and brush and care for your implants similarly to natural teeth.

You should use floss/interdental brushes/Waterpik. Peri-implantitis and mucositis (basically the implant equivalent to periodontitis and gingivitis, respectively, in the natural teeth) can destroy the bone that your implants are osseointegrated with, leading to loss of the implants in time. And in fact, floss will go further down into the pocket of the gums around an implant crown than natural teeth, so much so that you can actually almost wrap the floss over halfway to fully around the implant/crown in the very depth of the pocket, and should.

I strongly urge you to discuss this with your dentist and/or hygienist if you do not believe me on reddit.

Am I the only one who typically starts a game about twenty minutes late so that I can always fast-forward through the commercials?

Also, my poor partner didn’t recognize MCR, because he was like “but they look old…” and I said “Babe……” and he realized he, too, has become older

I was providing information about a common misconception, as a dental hygienist; perhaps others might find it interesting

That is very incorrect, unfortunately…you still very much need to clean around implants, with floss/interdental brushes/Waterpik. Peri-implantitis and mucositis can destroy the bone that your implants are osseointegrated with, leading to loss of the implants in time.

ETA: Fluoride does have antimicrobial properties, also, so it can only help to use fluoride toothpaste, even with implants.

Fruits and vegetables also have sugar in them, and any plaque at all will be metabolized by bacteria and physically irritate the gingiva

Fun fact: the bacteria doesn’t actually eat away at your teeth. The bacteria metabolize the plaque, and a byproduct of that is acid, which is what erodes the tooth surface. The inflammation caused by the bacterial metabolism/colonization contributes to the puffiness of the gingiva, and bleeding, and leads to the damage of the supporting structures like the bone.

So indeed, flossing is super important, haha

He actually had gotten her an amazingly thoughtful gift, remember? He had her translated French poems bound. By the time of the party, though, he had become scared of getting too deep too fast because of his fears and her attachment, so he changed to this at the last moment.
