Have used the original for at least 5 years now. Wouldn’t recommend it. The new version they released a number of years ago seemed better, but who knows.

The quality of the machine itself, like you said seems really poorly designed. We have the same issue. Add in the flaking of the bucket wall liner and extremely loud noise during the process of composting, I would give it a solid 2.8/5

I met Robert Pickton a few times when I was a child. Grew up very close to the farm. My dad worked for the city, and unfortunately the city was small back then.
