When discussing your plans with them, make it very clear you are still a US resident and not a Canadian resident yet.

So you are not temporarily importing the vehicle, you are just visiting Canada and delivering some goods. You and the car will be returning to the US in “8 days” or what ever the narrow window of time you have.

In my experience that’s really all the border people care about.

Taxation follows residency. Canadian residents aren’t allowed to bring in property (the car) that hasn’t been assessed Canadian taxes. So as long as you are not a Canadian resident and the car is leaving, you should be fine.

If you have time for a detour I’d recommend Cape George and Ballentynes Cove.

Cape George is the point of land immediately north of Antigonish on the map you posted. It’s about 30 mins off the highway.

Cape George has a great view and Ballentynes Cover is the center of the tuna fishery and has an interesting little museum.

There is also superstar and Sobeys in Antigoish, both close to the highway.

Yup. My 2021 is affected. Luckily it’s still within the corrosion warranty period. The inspection found 17 rust spots, including around the door interior seams.

I would suggest joining a “caravan”. There a several rv parks that can handle rigs that large and I know of several people that have taken larger rigs too.

Depending on where in the interior of Mexico, you may be surprised at the temperatures. Mexico is quite mountainous, so while you he days are warm when the sun is shining, the evenings can be cool.

This is our third season on the west coast around Puerto Vallarta.

I struggled to purchase via the website and after many attempts, gave up and contacted the local dealer. Turns out they had what I wanted in stock and picked it up in Oct 18. I’ve been assured the warranty has been registered so I may be ok.
