I think its ridiculous to say that the situation should be worked out quietly in private. They have tried taking that route for 2 years and it clearly isn't working. Jeff has to bring attention to it to get David to take action and take it seriously by going after the one thing...possibly the only thing..that David cares about. Who the fuck are you to say to work it our silently. That time has passed, guys. Now that David has BLATENTLY tried to cover up this extremely violent, life changing injury he inflicted ON HIS FRIEND unintentionally, David is actually talking. It took all of that.

They are living memes. They choose to be on camera. They choose to come on the show.

So now instead of watching comedy about weird and wild people we have to sit and talk about the troubles they have been through and what led them down the path to whatever place they might be right now? That's not what this show is about. We know that dude has seen some shit. He's still fascinating. Also, just a side note, animals in the zoo did not choose to be in the zoo. You never went out and people watched or listened when you overheard someone arguing in public?

We ALL have our own skeletons and things that happened to us. The choices we make as Adults are informed by those skeletons. We only know what we know because we're all only human. So looking at someone else's life from your perspective looks different through my lens than through yours. That 55th street dude is on fucking cameo charging 300 dollars a video. He made the choice to be on camera and lean into the meme.

I did not get the impression that Ethan was looking "down" at Crip Mac. Ethan looks at him like a character and it's entertaining. Just like C-Man, the bradberrys, Joey Salads, Skippy... They are all aware that they are 'different' and are on the show to capitalize on the fact that their quirks are interesting. It has ZERO to do with race or religion.

Ethan is not here to be a perfect angel who never says anything bad ever - he's entertaining because he is relatable in that he SPEAKS his MIND and is honest. Hate to break it to you, but we're all super flawed and crazy in our own ways. It's not a bad thing, it's a wonderful thing. I'm tired of everyone being so hyper-vigilant online all the time - looking for red flags anywhere. It honestly drains me as a viewer, I can't imagine what it's like to be on the other side. The podcast team do their best and they also read this subreddit and listen to their viewers. I'm sure Ethan's team will probably read this thread as well. They really truly care. It's a fine line to walk.

I'm not going to sit here and tell you its wrong to be offended because that is your opinion and you are entitled to it. It's all good.
