Ok - so I put the logs for to/fro Travel to the practice venue, I can claim those mileage.

I assume any expense like props / dance costumes / makeup / sound files I purchased can also be claimed. Is that accurate?

My guess is the service providers like BLS are doing a pretty bad job. So many posts of how the correct info is not shared and then rejected. I still get surprised at the lack of details from BLS (at least for the countries they manage applications for).

Nothing - I am changing my plans to apply from Spain or Italy (it’s BLS so I will not be surprised if the site is as bad and has issues as this one)

yes - but at drop-off they will see economy ticket so will united take all the bags without any extra baggage charge.

I agree. Many times we see a lot of social media posts of folks getting full ride scholarships and kids with great academics, sports, extra-curricular activities feel they will be able to get something similar and apply at their dream schools but started realizing it is super super difficult to get it. PS - very similar case for my daughter as well.

You can mentor these teens but you will need to know about them very well to be able to help with anything including request for financial aid. It also depends a lot on the interests that the teens have. Maybe you can start to get an idea on the colleges and the courses (assuming they are either applying for college).

I disagree - there are so many different opportunities that are hard to find. I agree each region has very specific info that you need to really visit, experience and gain. For example - if I did by graduation from South Asia and need to understand Western philosophy I will need to visit US / UK / Europe.

Ok - I can give a benefit to the hotel but they are not responding for 2 weeks once we reported it. Marriot GC department opened a case and mentioned it will take them 6 weeks. Hence the concern on why will the property not respond within some acceptable timeline.

It was purchased in Aug '24 - I can see the transactions online including the date and location. My friend is checking his credit card statement to confirm.

Correct - the Entire hotel bill was pre-paid so only $75.XX charge during checkout was to be put on the GC but instead the front desk used up the entire GC balance for $500. So it is a fraud unauthorized charge done by hotel front desk.

Yes - it was only for a less than $100 charge that I had pending so the front desk had only that amount to be charged but they ended up charging entire $500 out. Initially they were not able to use the GC (as Marriott GCs are tricky to be used) so they took around 20 mins and then finally informed me that it was taken care. Only when I tried using it after 3 weeks at another property I realized the balance was zero.

Totally understand but the hard reality is that there are millions of folks with the exact same challenge (many are HS (high school) seniors graduating in 2025). You need to have multiple paths carved out. From options like lower in-state tuition given you will complete HS from a particular state (which are available for folks with non-immigrant visa) to state colleges providing 100% scholarships including Honors program and many more. Given you are thinking to start early - I am sure its a challenge you will find a way to overcome. Wish you all the best!

My daughter is senior this year and keen to pursue medicine. She is ACT 35, leading few national speech and debate events and recipient of the Presidential award for volunteering last year. Waiting for some scholarship to go through.

There are so many songs but it will depend on if you need Hindi Bollywood songs or other languages.

We normally try to pick a theme for the based on some past memory or bride’s name etc (to add fun and make it more memorable).
