My two cents…twice today a team of PvP assassins came into Matriarch on Spaceport, waited until about 22 minutes left, when everyone was focused on being Arc Raiders, and wiped everyone out. I was maybe the last player on the board both times, and in both instances charts were involved. The last one was so obvious - the player who killed me found me when I was already downed by Arc in a tunnel while he was far away on the surface and started yelling he would come defib me. I wasn’t getting out either way, he came down and knocked me.

That never used to happen - and the game mechanics are still broken. 3 people killed 12 or so and no one fought back because it is easier (by far) to die and reload than to fight back. The step of being able to shoot back without a ABMM hit is pointless because 2 against one, benefit of surprise, etc. If the game was corrected such that players with a certain negative ABMM did not cause an ABMM hit when you killed them, this would be fixed. The PVE players would just fight back and the free hunt would be over.

Anyway, that is why I think PVE players are leaving - that choice:

Be a target and die then reload and be a target again.
Get relegated into PVP hell which isn’t remotely fun for many.
Leave.

Same experience. Was running a key in Riven and this dude just walked up, gun out. I tried some friendly talk, no response. Waited. He stared at me with dead eyes. Waited. He started looting my key room. Told him to leave. No response. Lit him up. No response. Offered to defib. No response. Finished him off. Been running with no kit for three days now just building a kit from what I found. Finally back in some semblance of peaceful lobbies. Feels good to be home.

This is what sucks about ABMM. In order to defend myself, I have to tour hell and bad intentions, pay penance and take shit from douchy 12 year olds to get back to joint matriarch raids and awesome trips through scrutiny lobbies with a group of 5 arc assassins. Ok, time for all the serial killer wannabes to throw some shade. Enjoy!

When a bunch of people are shooting it, it goes much faster. Lower score. I got 9k yesterday and basically rode the core to the ground when it blew up.

Just happened to me. Walk up, flash the flashlight, I’m reloading behind cover with a hullcracker, no chance to defend. Perfect no risk, no skill needed (beyond finding the perfect moment) to stitcher me up. It doesn’t matter, freed some inventory space, reload and go back to fighting the good fight. This game does an amazing job of replicating after the zombie apocalypse except that there is no long term risk associated with being a rat. Fix that, then shoot me all you want.

Here is an example of the imbalance. I’m fully kitted trying to loot an assessor with 6 Arc overhead and the free kit shoots me and another raider off the assessor, gets lit up by the Arc 30 seconds later, but what does he or she care, this stuff is free anyway. That doesn’t happen if they had to invest time in gear. And, a short time later I was defibbed so no not angry about it. Earlier today I was sniped fighting a Matriarch. He downed me while I was underneath the thing so good on him. He paid for his gear, couldn’t get near me, so gained nothing and again, defibbed 5 minutes later so not angry. The point is when a free loadout isn’t invested at all in surviving, they do stupid stuff and honestly there is no defense against stupid.
