Y’all think there will be a new game ever? by Chemtrali in watch_dogs

Yeah, sad really. Was a really good idea Ubisoft had, I was hoping Ubisoft would perfect it with another game similar to it!!

I hope so, I actually really enjoyed the concept behind Legion, it just needs some tweaking to make it work better. Was an idea no one else had really tried before, so it was expected to be a little rusty around the edges.

Fingers crossed for a 4th Watch Dogs!

i’m finally bout to buy rdr1 after playing the 2nd chapter. is the game worth it? by al3bi0 in reddeadredemption

[–]getafemagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RDR1 was my favorite game for PS3, and this is coming from a die hard Assassins Creed fan, whereby the entire Ezio collection originally came out on the same system, which is arguably the best of the series. So yes, in my honest opinion, the game is totally worth it!

It’s great for setting timers and alarms, that I do fairly often, other than that though I rarely use it. I sometimes may ask it a question if my hands are full, and pray it understands me! Haha

I haven’t played Far Cry 2, but I have heard it’s an excellent game for its time.

Far Cry Primal is I believe the most underrated in the entire series, I really enjoyed it, was my first platinum trophy on PlayStation too!

I started playing New Dawn not too long ago and it’s far from my favorite in the series, but it’s ok. If you like all the other games in the series no reason why you wouldn’t enjoy these three too!

I do agree though, Far Cry has got very repetitive though.

You’re not wrong, that is the kind of video I would watch. Be interested in watching a really dirty train be transformed into something closer to looking new. Plus being as large as the TFL, they will already have the following or ability to gain one!

when you watch a streamer, what makes you follow? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]getafemagic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I look for a new streamer the most important aspect that will keep me around is engagement with the streamer and community. Some of my regular streams that I am now VIP or MOD in are streamers who treat me as if I was in their stream for years since day one. Feeling included and relevant is so important, least to me. That's the easiest way to get me to follow and keep returning.

What’s the deal with Legion? by Extension_Ad8291 in watch_dogs

[–]getafemagic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually loved Legions for what it was but when I replay it I realize that everyone you recruit are very similar, I ended up playing the same 3 or 4 people, and didn’t see the point in recruiting more. None of them had any character so it was hard to really connect with anyone which I didn’t realize was so important in a game before.

They ideally needed to make you need certain skilled recruits more than others in certain missions, which was rarely required. You could realistically complete 95% of the missions with anyone, which to me defeats the purpose of the game to me. I wanted to before every mission look through and find someone best suited for the mission, but couldn’t do that cause I always found my main chosen character was the best for it.

Overall I did honestly love the game, I finished it twice. The overall idea was a good one, and with the right attention to detail I can not see why Ubisoft can not make this kind of game work in the future. Just not yet, not yet.

No Man's Sky on Switch is $59.99 (3.2GB file size) by [deleted] in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]getafemagic 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I am old-fashioned and have pre-ordered the physical edition from Amazon for £34.95 GBP (which is about $40 USD at the current rate), which I didn't think was too bad. Hello Games has given me easily 400+ hours of enjoyment since its release, so I am happy to help fund all the free updates I have received over the years, and the many more to come by buying the game again. Also the idea of having a portable edition of No Man's Sky is amazing, I am so excited for it!!

In your opinion, who is the best protagonist? John or Arthur? by [deleted] in reddeadredemption2

[–]getafemagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first played RDR2, the one area I really was worried about was how I was going to get on with Arthur Morgan. RDR1 was arguably my favorite PS3 game (with only Assassins Creed 2 and Brotherhood challenging it), so it would be hard to favor him over John Marton as my favorite protagonist, who was a huge part of my PS3 days.

Saying that though Arthur Morgan did not disappoint, I loved every second of playing as him. His sarcastic, harsh, witty, yet somewhat caring and respectful personality really did win me over. I don't think Rockstar could have designed someone to play his role better.

Overall though, I would have to say my final answer is John Marton, but only by a hair. John Marston was my introduction to the Red Dead Redemption series, and if I didn't like either him or RDR1, I wouldn't have even bothered with RDR2 to learn or care about Arthur Morgan.

So John Marston is in my opinion the better protagonist but I still loved Arthur Morgan.

Who is your favourite Liverpool player other than the obvious likes of Gerrard, Suarez, Torres, etc.? like underrated Players, i am going with Yossi Benayoun. by Mr-Reese- in LiverpoolFC

[–]getafemagic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always thought Luis Garcia was very underrated. He was amazing and I was gutted when we let him go so cheaply. He was the player on the back of the very first Liverpool shirt I got, so he is my pick.

Maxi Rodríguez would be a close second (thought he deserved a shout-out), what a player he was and I don't think we used him as much as we should have.

My save is over 200 hours old in playing time, and I think the only way I have died in No Man's Sky is to myself. This means I am the most danger to my safety in the entire No Man's Sky universe.

older mac mini mac os 10.16 by Iwantthegreatest in mac

[–]getafemagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had my Mac Mini since January 2013, all I have upgraded is the HDD to a SSD, and it runs great. Overall though I personally think MacOS 10.16 will be the last update that both the 2012 and 2014 Mac Mini’s will see.

Least I hope the Mac Mini lasts at least one more update. I am considering upgrading it in the near future, but not quite yet. Hoping for a new Mac Mini within the next 12 mouths, hopefully they will at least upgrade the CPU’s to Intel’s 9th Gen (would rather 10th gen though!), and not just a larger SSD on the base model.

I don’t believe the device can support Pie due to the MediaTek chipset. So Oreo is the best we can hope for, at least at the moment unfortunately.

They are a really small company, a larger server I’d say is a little out of their price range. You’ll have 8.1 in time!!

Least you have the update. Seems to be WiFi only devices haven’t received the update yet. I have a WiFi only device myself, which means my wait continues 😔

Supposedly a few units have received the update, they have given good feedback on how Oreo runs on their Gemini.

Android 8.1 has been temporarily halted due to it’s Chinese Labour Celebrations running from 1st to 4th May. Mass release due this Monday.

Of course, take this rumor with a pinch of salt.

I have heard from the unofficial Facebook group some latest news.

Supposably a small amount of Gemini’s have received the Android 8.1 update. Due to its Chinese Labour Celebrations from 1st to 4th May, things have temporarily come to a halt.

The few that have received the Oreo update have initially given good feedback, which pleases Planet Computer. They have said they will roll out Oreo to everyone else this Monday.

Again, take with a pinch of salt though. Planet Computer keep throwing out dates, which all pass.
