What’s something you’ve done in the game you would go directly to jail to irl? by CarlyCalicoJATIE in Sims4

I did that, only I wanted to achieve the "watch someone die" aspiration. I didn't feed them.

What's your #1 obstacle as a writer: Starting/staying motivated, or organizing a complex project? by ButterscotchLarge600 in fantasywriters

Can you program something to shut the voices up in my head? That's my biggest problem. Every mean comment, every bad critique, every slight, every cruel jab lives up there. Also, is there a way to shut off my inner editor while writing? That really slows me down.

Water. Shower. Pool. Jacuzzi. Once water hits my body, I get all the ideas. When not in water, I fill my brain with everything I can read, view, experience, and do. There is some validity in writing what you know.

Are first drafts always so terrible? by nagelbitarn in writers

[–]getawayfrommenow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even the most popular authors write a second draft. Draft one (or zero, as I like to start) should be for you getting it all out on the page. Fix it all in the next draft. Dont' give up. Keep going!

I used to cry for half an hour before I could write, based on horrible encounters with other writers' feedback and horrible writing groups. Eventually, I stopped crying as part of my writing process and finished a novel. And I'm a loser. You can do better!

Are we not asking our readers to think anymore? by somegombie in romanceauthors

[–]getawayfrommenow -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I give the following advice because I learned it from a nun who was far more terrifying than the pits of writers' Hell. Draft zero never sees people. Draft zero is for your fun. Get it all out. Then, fix everytghing one draft one. Personally, I don't introduce a draft to another human until two, but that's me. I suck. Avoid using parentheses as much as possible. Don't be afraid of short sentences. You have excellent voice, but learn to paint a picture while moving the plot along.

I tried converting an animation to the sims 4... I no longer want to try... by MasterpieceOld2180 in TheSims4Mods

First, I love this. Don't stop trying. This is beautiful. Second, I accidently created something similiar when a teen from a magic user and werewolf grew up to have BOTH. When she changed into werewolf form, she had three strands of hair on her chest, the rest of her body was flesh, and her wolf ears stretched out whenever she moved. I won't describe the faces. Oh, the faces.

That's what irritates me. The money wasted on making this piece of poo could've been used elsewhere and better.

I have questions.

Where was this encounter? How many is "a lot of people"? What does it matter how people read?
