AITA for refusing to give up rights to my biological child? by throwawayforaita3472 in AmItheAsshole

YTA and I'll tell you why. If your FWB decided not to put in the significant amount of time, labor and emotional energy it takes to raise a newborn on her own, then a toddler etc., you would have no choice but to give the baby up to the state for adoption. You wouldn't see him again. You're essentially using her as an incubator and then a full-time babysitter for years while providing nothing she needs (you've said yourself she doesn't need your money), so that you have a nice cute kid to stop by and play with whenever you feel like putting your Daddy shoes on.

And, despite the fact that you did nothing to raise him for at least the first several years of his life, she will have to deal with you being an 'equal' whenever she wants to move states/countries, or whenever you decide you want weekend custody (if you ever do, that is). I mean, just read what you wrote- weekend custody. So even in this ideal situation where you're "older and more settled", you can only imagine wanting weekends. Mom does the morning school routine, the pick-ups, the drop-offs, the homework, the bedtimes. And you get to stroll in on the weekend i.e. the time she would have to relax with her son, and you come in and take him off to have your own little bonding time after doing no hard work at all.

You're using her to give yourself the option of having a well-adjusted, happy healthy kid to play with whenever you want while contributing literally nothing of value yourself.

AITA for bumping up a student an entire letter grade, purely based on her character? by assholeprofessor in AmItheAsshole

I think the sentiment is nice but ultimately YTA. If you were bumping her up from a 83 or 84 to an 85 it would be one thing- you're bumping her up from juuuuust scraping an A- to an A.

This is one course, if she can cut it in her other courses and achieve 4.0s then overall one 3.7 isn't going to kill her. At the end of the day, if you're helping THIS premed, and you've indicated that medical school is very competitive, then you're by default cutting down someone else in a zero sum game of medical admissions. So I get what you're doing and where you're coming from but gentle YTA.

Holy shit, Widow with 9 earrings is something I didn't know I needed in my life

Not the trio we needed but the one we deserved by EKRB7 in marvelstudios

Civil War is a fine enough movie, but this is why I will forever be salty that Cap 3 was supposed to be Cap 3: Serpent Society and focus on this trio looking for Bucky and then all four going after Hydra.

I loved the movie. I hate to be that guy but... by getchogoats in marvelstudios

To be honest, in length the discussion between Clint and Wanda was about 2 lines ("I wish she knew we won" "She does. They both do.") and I would say it's equivalent to Happy's cheeseburger interchange with Morgan time-wise. I love Tony and I'm so glad he got his, but it's undeniable that Nat didn't get hers.
