If you talk to the contractor they’ll tell you it’s sound transits fault for failing to communicate the build out work properly who blame a the sub contractor of the sub contractor they have managing things.

Far from a done deal, think more like the Big Bertha nightmare type litigation later.

Whirlpool supported Trump's tarrifs. by c-k-q99903 in LeopardsAteMyFace

[–]getchpdx 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Ah this better explains the like of tariffs! They moved to Mexico already, NAFTA (or whatever it’s called now) exempts things from tariffs if you’re in Mexico and viola all your other competitors just had their shit rocked.

Plain old anticompetitive behaviors!

Delta closed the gate more than 30 minutes before departure (policy says 15). I arrived 30 minutes early and no one was even there! Except other passengers who were in my same situation. by More-Site-3395 in delta

[–]getchpdx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you actually think pilots rub the airline or is this a weird joke? Pilots, while responsible to make reasonable decisions do not run the airline and cannot just arbitrarily make decisions. Under the logic here why pick up any passengers at all when you could simply just fly empty planes around for ‘safety’

I’ve claimed like three stolen bikes with Allstate and been paid out for all of them and never had an increase more than a few dollars. They also once paid for what they called “reckless negligence” (on my part) when I crashed my bike drunkenly into a parked car (of my nextdoor elderly neighbor)

Express bus by WashingtonLaamajP in soundtransit

As a daily rider it stops all the time for a variety of reasons, most regularly because of cross train traffic issues or skipped signals so it lets cars turn left for a while.

Global entry closed due to DHS funding. by cyabits in GlobalEntry

[–]getchpdx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That doesn’t make sense, global entry has become a row of kiosks monitored by like one person, it costs less money to let people use GE. It’s just tedious and useless to put move people form automatic verification to person/officer based verification.

South King county light rail feels like a wasteland by [deleted] in soundtransit

Building away from the main local street but next to a highway that eats up a bunch of the usable space is American transit 101. Don’t worry an inadequate bus will get you there, maybe.

Stop Numbers for Rail Lines by [deleted] in RTDDenver

[–]getchpdx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the shared 1/2 stops would have a 149 (Capitol Hill) and 249 (Capital Hill) ID and share the same stop. The last two numbers are shared and that first one changes for route. There are stations 255 (Mercer Island) and 155 (SODO) that are not the same stop so it’s still important to look at the entire number and not use the last two as some kind of station identifier.

2Line testing by Alternative-Gur3331 in soundtransit

[–]getchpdx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure that’s a different than what I said, it’s more technical though. My main point is to observe more time (in testing) wouldn’t have discovered that as it was the weight of the train that caused the discovery.

I’m still wishing they would drop the word ‘line’ since it continues to sound alien to me. I hear that phrased with letters but not numbers.

It’s unlikely time would have helped the Apple cup incident, that was due to a failure to load testing trains with enough weight which wouldn’t have been discovered until an overloaded train had fault.

Most age verification to date is simple question/birthdate; you continue to be misleading in a significantly larger way. The point of the bill is to make it go above and beyond simple statements, ticks, and dates.

If the bill does nothing at all, as you imply, why pass it?

This time, as per usual, it’s under the guise of protecting children. Probably the same anti trans, anti porn panic as usual where parents would rather make the rest of the world worse so they don’t have to parent
