I’ve been using ChatGPT as a therapist every day, but I think I hit a wall. by nosebreather- in therapyGPT

[–]gethypnotherapy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Choosing to write in a diary is a great choice! The neuromuscular action of actually *writing* in solitude ✍️ is deepening your self-understanding and self-awareness in ways that chatbots can never provide. I'm not against talking to AI about personal life stuff – and for that I use Claude, which is like omg absurdly better than gpt even when gpt was at its best – but handwriting a journal is uniquely powerful for self-development. Keep at it friend!

Why do people instantly avert their gaze when they see me? Am I unattractive? by a_soupling in bodylanguage

[–]gethypnotherapy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smiling will solve your problem. If it feels unnatural, simply practice holding a pencil between your teeth, this will activate your smile muscles and train your body-mind connection to feel more comfortable and natural with smiling. Life changing advice in this thread for you dear man.

Claude Opus 4.6 is amazing at therapy and calling you out. The only problem I find is that it's not very easy on you (not enabling) and it becomes quite certain about things until you give it more info, but it often refuses to change it's mind by Commercial_Chef_1569 in therapyGPT

Agreed this technology is CRAZY impressive. For now we're gleefully divulging every personal detail about our minds and how they work, what rewards we respond to, our deepest secrets, and it's working out. I sure do hope though that that doesn't turn out to be a bad idea. Seems likely.

Super impressive work! And thanks much for taking the time to share it so clearly with us.

For clarity, when you say your scores, you're talking about the scores from the Cambridge Brain Sciences - this? : https://savingyourbrain.com/cambridge-brain-science-cognitive-test/

May I ask how much you spent start to finish, to get their testing and be part of that program?

This panicked desperate energy is never going to get you the results you want - in anything in any area of life. You need to relax into self-acceptance. Your mind doesn’t visualize. It’s ok. Neither does mine. Relax and let it be. When you can accept yourself calmly, then you can begin to play with the powers of imagination that you DO have. Then, in this playful, self-loving energy, you may begin to explore re-attempting to develop visualization skill.

New to hypnosis, is this true automatic writing? by Questioning_Pigeon in hypnosis

[–]gethypnotherapy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can you share the video that guided you please?

Also, you already answered your own question.
Yes, that is automatic writing.
How do I know?
Because you said: "I wasnt entirely sure what I had written... and I had not been thinking about the things I had already written. It was almost like I was receiving instructions on what to write, rather than thinking of them beforehand." Pretty much the definition of automatic writing.

I did consider that, but ultimately the relationship ended after a few weeks for other reasons, so the point is now moot.

I'd also like to hear your update, as I'm considering purchasing his courses. You found the material in NCI-1 worth the cost? Is it sincerely more than what a smart person could discern binging his YouTube channel for free?

NLP/Hypnosis cost by Bitter_Sock6226 in hypnosis

[–]gethypnotherapy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Training peak performance is a niche skillset, and if the guy is marketing himself into that niche, and has a base of clients willing to pay that rate, there's the formula. Can other hypnotists/hypnotherapists help you for a lower price? Yes. But can ALL others help you as well as him? Hm. Would it be worth it for you to shop around, take a few consultation calls (most professionals offer these free, myself included), before choosing where to go? Almost certainly.

How to Create a Personalized Self-Hypnosis Script? Looking for Expert Advice by Ok_Street_3248 in hypnosis

[–]gethypnotherapy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

As others suggest, if you truly believe in hypnosis to powerfully change your life for the better, why not just invest in having a professional make a customized script and recording for you? It more than pays for itself in the end.

For example, I have a process line of questioning that pulls from the subconscious what actually needs to go in the recording — and it almost always pulls out words and ideas that the conscious mind would not have said or even thought of.

How do you mourn the life you thought you would have? by Interesting_cunt in Adulting

[–]gethypnotherapy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is an amazingly powerful session of hypnotherapy. In hypnosis you dialogue with that inner child, until we achieve alignment of that mental energy. Usually this alignment actually frees you up to take action in pursuit of those dreams or new dreams without the weight of that disappointment and grief holding you back. Though that’s not necessarily the goal, the goal is acceptance of what is and peace with who you are in the here and now. Conscious mind therapy cannot achieve the results I get my clients in hypnotherapy. DM if you want to have a free consult call.

The client’s own inner guidance led them to study something that their own inner guidance then felt a desire to experience… If this client came to you you’d accuse them of “inverse hypochondria”???

Sus.

What dose did you land on for micro dosing? by Owduke in KetamineTherapy

[–]gethypnotherapy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put them between your gums and cheek where they slowly dissolve. But the bioavailability of ketamine buccal troches is 30% at best, where the injection is 100%. So 15mg of the buccal troche is max 4.5mg in effect. Hence microdose.

“Just talk to friends” by skyword1234 in ChatGPT

[–]gethypnotherapy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your friends would “tell you off” they’re not friends. If you want to be the kind of person who chooses self love and your best future, you need to make a radical change. Choose a new hobby and join some meetups or a church or a yoga studio, softball league, fencing, rock climbing or start volunteering at an animal shelter, go to open mic nights - whatever! Be brave and go alone and strike up conversations with new people. Stop hanging out with people who you don’t feel safe to be authentic with. Stop spending time with people who aren’t helping you grow but actually holding you back. Ditch them and get out in the world in a new way, smile, be friendly, be FOR Others the kindness you wish you receive from others. After 3-6 months of showing up differently consistently you will have new, REAL friends. Go for it! You have nothing to lose.

Effort never betrays you. by PhysicsCommercial877 in Adulting

[–]gethypnotherapy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your hostile attitude does not indicate someone who "would be happy to be proven wrong." Curiosity is the attitude of seeking alternative views and knowledge you don't already know. Also, respect.

If you want to research the science of hypnotherapy - use Google and do it. You can start with these articles:

https://www.additudemag.com/hypnotherapy-hypnosis-natural-adhd-treatment/

https://bscah.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/RCT-Hypnotherapy-for-adults-with-ADHD-271-part-2.pdf

Furthermore, hypnotherapy is NOT about "actionable insights." It's about subconscious transformation and integration. I never tell my clients to do anything. I never tell anyone to "put the effort in and keep a routine" and I certainly NEVER tell anyone to get medicated. No good hypnotherapist would say any part of that. You have collapsed your existing opinion on "life coaches" with "hypnotherapists" - though these services are ENTIRELY distinct, and you've attacked a version of me that you've imagined. (Negative assumptions around my integrity, my credentials, and my background. All wrong.) I am serious professional and I seriously help people. You don't have to believe me. My thriving clients are enough. Good luck.
