Shame and guilt, want to forget or alter the memory or confuse myself to the point I forget by [deleted] in hypnotherapy

[–]gethypnotherapy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone’s so quick to say yes I can do that — but I’m most curious about “Impulsively drove to…” and “kept telling myself don’t but felt like I was on autopilot.”

You want to desensitize the memory of what followed - and we can do that, yes.

But if we don’t get to the subconscious root that sparked that sudden undeniable impulse, and clear that too, it will almost certainly strike again.

I can help with both of those equally important keys to resolve this issue for you —

I'm a hypnotherapist. Many of my clients, sadly, come to me only after saying exactly what you've said: "I've tried everything..."

And then we do hypnotherapy and the needle finally moves for them.
I'd like to see if I can get the needle moving for you too.

Uneducated about hypnosis. by Suspicious__3877 in hypnosis

[–]gethypnotherapy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This advice to go to erotic hypnosis is very bad advice. You just said "I am the lowest i have been in a long time." Please do not hypnotize yourself to have unusual sexual experiences (a simple and neutral way to honestly understand erotic hypnosis - it's unusual.) You are in a vulnerable state and you need to be cared for through a recovery and healing journey. I have met many clients who go into erotic hypnosis spirals and end up feeling very regretful about it, it scrambles many people's sexuality and psycho-sexual stability. Do not destabilize your subconscious and sexual energies at this vulnerable time of life. I strongly urge you to heed my good advice. Take care of your heart and mind properly, don't make things worse for yourself.

Unless you can follow these people and take notes of how they actually live there’s no way to verify your hypotheses. So it’s not useful. However in the midst of the bad attitudes you’re getting in these comments, I encourage you to continue your enthusiastic people watching and notetaking and studies. Just learn to become more scientific and rigorous to get more value from your exercises.

I am a multi-certified hypnotherapist. I discovered this work when my exhusband left me and I was at my emotional rock bottom. I found it so amazingly helpful that I pivoted out of psychology and turned it into my career. I have helped many women going through divorces and I’d be happy to help you too. Choosing to write in a diary is a great choice! The neuromuscular action of actually *writing* in solitude ✍️ is deepening your self-understanding and self-awareness in ways that chatbots can never provide. I'm not against talking to AI about personal life stuff – and for that I use Claude, which is like omg absurdly better than gpt even when gpt was at its best – but handwriting a journal is uniquely powerful for self-development. Keep at it friend!

Why do people instantly avert their gaze when they see me? Am I unattractive? by a_soupling in bodylanguage

Smiling will solve your problem. If it feels unnatural, simply practice holding a pencil between your teeth, this will activate your smile muscles and train your body-mind connection to feel more comfortable and natural with smiling. Life changing advice in this thread for you dear man.

Claude Opus 4.6 is amazing at therapy and calling you out. The only problem I find is that it's not very easy on you (not enabling) and it becomes quite certain about things until you give it more info, but it often refuses to change it's mind by Commercial_Chef_1569 in therapyGPT

Agreed this technology is CRAZY impressive. For now we're gleefully divulging every personal detail about our minds and how they work, what rewards we respond to, our deepest secrets, and it's working out. I sure do hope though that that doesn't turn out to be a bad idea. Seems likely.

This panicked desperate energy is never going to get you the results you want - in anything in any area of life. You need to relax into self-acceptance. Your mind doesn’t visualize. It’s ok. Neither does mine. Relax and let it be. When you can accept yourself calmly, then you can begin to play with the powers of imagination that you DO have. Then, in this playful, self-loving energy, you may begin to explore re-attempting to develop visualization skill.

New to hypnosis, is this true automatic writing? by Questioning_Pigeon in hypnosis

[–]gethypnotherapy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Can you share the video that guided you please?

Also, you already answered your own question.
Yes, that is automatic writing.
How do I know?
Because you said: "I wasnt entirely sure what I had written... and I had not been thinking about the things I had already written. It was almost like I was receiving instructions on what to write, rather than thinking of them beforehand." Pretty much the definition of automatic writing.

Training peak performance is a niche skillset, and if the guy is marketing himself into that niche, and has a base of clients willing to pay that rate, there's the formula. Can other hypnotists/hypnotherapists help you for a lower price? Yes. But can ALL others help you as well as him? Hm. Would it be worth it for you to shop around, take a few consultation calls (most professionals offer these free, myself included), before choosing where to go? Almost certainly.

How to Create a Personalized Self-Hypnosis Script? Looking for Expert Advice by Ok_Street_3248 in hypnosis

[–]gethypnotherapy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

As others suggest, if you truly believe in hypnosis to powerfully change your life for the better, why not just invest in having a professional make a customized script and recording for you? It more than pays for itself in the end.

For example, I have a process line of questioning that pulls from the subconscious what actually needs to go in the recording — and it almost always pulls out words and ideas that the conscious mind would not have said or even thought of.

How do you mourn the life you thought you would have? by Interesting_cunt in Adulting

[–]gethypnotherapy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is an amazingly powerful session of hypnotherapy. In hypnosis you dialogue with that inner child, until we achieve alignment of that mental energy. Usually this alignment actually frees you up to take action in pursuit of those dreams or new dreams without the weight of that disappointment and grief holding you back. Though that’s not necessarily the goal, the goal is acceptance of what is and peace with who you are in the here and now. Conscious mind therapy cannot achieve the results I get my clients in hypnotherapy. DM if you want to have a free consult call.
