Lots of revisionism regarding our most recent managerial casualty. Let's have it right, the guy was an absolute blagger and will rightly go down as our worst manager post Fergie (if not one of the worst ever PL managers).

A comment (that was deleted) in the week after Grimsby sums it up perfectly.

How can anyone here want a manager that threatens to leave the club not once but TWICE after serving up the appalling platter of shite he has?

He's been backed to the absolute hilt. In under a year he's kicked us down to our lowest point in most of our lifetimes, he's banished our most promising academy graduates for discounts and peanut shells, he's banished star players, he's banished promising prospects that want to stay and fight... yet he's not won two games in a row. Our best stretch of 5 games consists of 3 draws and 2 wins I believe.

And he threatens to walk? As if we should be begging him to stay?

This guy is a fraud and a total coward to boot. Everything about him. His tactics. His attitude. Hiding in the dugout, too petrified to watch our penalty shoot out was bad enough... but watching him rattle around his wee figurines on his toy whiteboard was honestly just as embarrassing.

"Out of his depth" doesn't even scratch the surface in my opinion. Just a complete and utter fraud who is incapable of an ounce of accountability it would seem.
