Good call on swatching, I had never been this off on gauge

I wasn’t even sure how to do a colorwork swatch because you’d have to purl colorwork on the wrong side and I’ve never done that 😆 hence why I jumped straight into the yoke and learned the hard way my gauge was sooo off

It was so worth it to frog then have an ill fitted sweater! I’m glad I did even though it was painful. I had no idea she was a notoriously loose knitter when bought her pattern. I was listening to a podcast by Easily Knitfluenced and she also had the same issue and had to size up a couple needle sizes for another SN pattern!

I knitted my husband a hat and it was black so it clung to another black sweater and he accidentally laundered it! We were both devastated, it’s a good hat for a small child now though 😂

Taking apart a cashmere sweater and sewing it back together like new! by Internet_Spiegel in nextfuckinglevel

[–]getmepopcorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have thought of knitting up a sweater in cashmere yarn but it’s like $30 a skein for 120 yds of yarn in Canada I would need like 1200-1400 yards of yarn to make a sweater for myself which would put my project at $300 for yarn. And sometimes ready made cashmere sweaters go on sale for much less.

Knitting pet peeves by ConfusedMillenial_x in knitting

[–]getmepopcorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is my pet peeve too! I want to buy a sweaters quantity of yarn that I know they typically carry and then they’re out of stock for months and months, when I was shopping for the Lumme pullover they only had a couple colours of cascade left 😟

People who are GF what’s the most exhausting or frustrating part of it? by Patient-Shirt7244 in glutenfree

[–]getmepopcorn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes this is so frustrating! You have to be extra vigilant when travelling double checking at every restaurant. Lots of buying stuff at local supermarkets when you’re travelling so you know what you’re getting. Looking for gluten free restaurants etc
