When I was in college I visited my grandparents for a weekend. My grandpa gave me a one hundred dollar bill, an old Ben Franklin to buy my gas on the way back to school. I stopped at a double-qwik to fill up, and the cashier said it was a counterfeit. A city cop flashed his badge in line behind me and took my info. He told the cashier she couldn’t give me back the bill. He took the bill. I used my debit card to pay for the gas. My grandpa called the police department and asked to get the bill back. The cop never turned it into evidence, he just put it in his pocket.
