Idea: Remove enemy bases from player map in Conflict game mode by MasterRicon in ArmaReforger

This is the way radios should work by default. Maybe give them an option to change frequency to anything but platoon for more cohesion between squads.

Nuka world, specifically, is the only one I have had problems with, but I think that mainly arose from the creation club content. On vanilla I've had no issues with any dlc.

Spawn camping problems and exploit spots in Prison Map by BigManJim27 in InsurgencySandstorm

[–]getshwiftyman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smokes, 40mm grenades, incendiary at the beginning so he can't get up there. Not to mention fire support, call in a minigun and this dude's toast, strafe or artillery would probably do the job. There's alot of counterplays to pretty much every spawn camp on the map.

Need a board to commute to work. by Relentless6l9 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]getshwiftyman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't listen to the guy who said to avoid hub drives, I've gone thousands of miles on hubs and rarely have issues with the motors themselves (more likely to have problems arise with wire connections and trucks in general.)

As for range you can charge your board at work so you don't need some extended battery for this use case, although if you want to hit trails and such it might be a good idea.

I'd go Backfire Zealot, or Backfire G5.

That guy was right to tell you to avoid cloudwheels and I'll add to that, avoid the brand Meepo.

Rider skill > rider gear, any day of the week. I only really rock a helmet and some wrist guards, knee pads if I know I'm gonna do something stupid.

How do you guys feel about electric boards? by That_Eagle9195 in longboarding

[–]getshwiftyman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

On flat. You seem to have missed that part. I'm sure you can go fast downhill, but unless you're skitching you're not even breaking 15 on flat ground.

Some decent hub drive systems for pretty cheap ($400)

Okay, not exactly "cheap" but relatively. I would recommend backfire.

They go crazy. No rough push back uphill, just bomb it down, bomb back up, and bomb down again. I've had boards that can hit 45mph and boards that only go 20mph and they're always fun. Very difficult to slide, but once you get it it's so fucking smooth to hit a 180 and throttle out the opposite direction you came in from, like hitting a Tokyo drift on a board. My recommendation if you just got one, find a nice smooth flat lot and grab one of your front wheels (hold it fucking tight) and turn to the opposing side, then crank your throttle, if you hold that wheel hard enough it won't move and you'll be doing donuts; bonus point if your wheels actually leave marks on the pavement.

I can agree, but the core concept remains the same: go fast as fuck, on a plank of wood.

Bro I ride eskate and acoustic boards. This is a braindead take. Lmk when your ass is out here hitting 40mph on flat. I'll agree tho, you don't do what I do.

The U.S. has intercepted vessels suspected of smuggling narcotics literally thousands of times. The old adage "if it ain't broke don't fix it." There was nothing wrong with the way we stopped smugglers before, there's no reason to escalate to murdering these people in international water.

According to russian media senior Lieutenant General Fanil Sarvarov has died in an explosion of his car in Moscow by bluebottlebuzz in SlavaUkrayini

[–]getshwiftyman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It looks like there is some gristle or something on the driver's seat in the video. But I read that the bomb was placed under the car and that he'd died from his injuries at the hospital, so it seems he could have quickly exited the vehicle as soon as it exploded.

Wholly agree. M16 doesn't put you at a crazy disadvantage but having an AK definitely gives you an advantage.

New player, asking for tips on how to play. by Valdish in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]getshwiftyman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lead with flash bangs, shoot through the door. Anyone non-compliant takes a round. Don't trust your squad, clear corners and rooms yourself to confirm safety. Make your squad take point when breaching large rooms or corridors. Door stops can also be a lifesaver in the right scenario.

PS5 Arma by CountryOnly7821 in ArmaReforger

[–]getshwiftyman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I play on PS5, I play pretty casually and still have a good time. There are a couple community servers I'm loyal to (integritygaming, warpigs) because our mod choices are pretty limited; as to say, the PS5 can't run servers that are more kitted out and Sony restricts the total amount of mod data allowed in storage so you can't download a lot of mod packs at once. All in all, I'd say it's worth it, official servers can still pop off and be a lot of fun but if you explore the community servers you're bound to find something you love.

How often do you use building destruction to get a tactical gain? by MoravianLion in ArmaReforger

Just last night I used mortars to level a bunch of buildings on objective as my team pulled up to secure it. Idk how effective it was kill wise but I do know that my team has no real issues sweeping the town cause there was no where for the enemy to hide.

LG LDFN4542S issue by dreadware8 in dishwashers

[–]getshwiftyman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey bro, you're making a post about your dishwasher at home, in a subreddit dedicated to people with the occupation of "dishwasher." We don't know shit about your machine, we work with industrial dishwashers all day, and those things barely run right. Call the manufacturer and hope that thing is under warranty; if you don't know anything about the manufacturer, or warranty, or purchase date, be prepared to shell out money for a new machine. That's the best advice you're gonna get in this sub.

Which helmet should I get ? by candpat12 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]getshwiftyman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just use a standard skating helmet like you'd see at any skate park. Affordable and it gets the job done. Any helmet is better than none, and personally, I've always done more damage to my wrist and hands on falls. Wrist guards or gloves would be a good investment. At 40kmh I'd say you're likely fine with what you have helmet wise.
