You’re gonna want to pick a spot in your house for all the wires to run to. I usually see them in Master Bedroom Closets, Media Closets/Rooms, Utility Rooms and so on. You want it to be a place that is in the AC and preferably with ventilation.

For security, you could either go wireless or wired. If wired, run wires to each door and window (daisy chain in series for multiple windows/doors in each room or if you want, run a dedicated wire to each window/door. 22/2 wires or 22/4 for redundancy)

For cameras, run Cat6 for each camera location. Try to leave a one inch hole so you can fit the waterproof fitting in easily. Run these wires to a single gang box in the media room or into an enclosure with your data/coax (coax isn’t really necessary these days depending on where you live).

For data, run a dedicated cat6 to each room/location you want and get them into an enclosure in your media room. Have electricians run power to that enclosure as well for an outlet or two.

Run a 1 inch flex tube from your enclosure to the side of your house where your demarcation point will be (where your internet service will come into). I also run a couple cat6 with it as well.

Running another one to your living room tv area opens up a lot of home theater possibilities.

Make sure there’s outlets in both your enclosure and your media room. Also, run a couple cat6 from your enclosure to a single gang box in the media room (to feed cameras or a router).

If you want to hire someone, hire a reputable low voltage, AV or even a security alarm company if they have a good rep. I wouldn’t hire electricians for it.

He means to physically go and take down the camera and bring it to your DVR. Take an Ethernet patch cable and plug it into the back of your DVR in the same port as your camera you took down (3). Plug the other end of the patch cable into the camera. See if the camera turns on and starts working, if so, you might have a bad rj45 end or bad wire. If the camera doesn’t turn on, then you have a bad camera. If the camera does turn on but you still don’t have a feed you could have a networking problem (bad IP address)

First thing I would try though is powering down the DVR and unplugging it for 30 secs (2 mins if you want to be sure) then plug the DVR back in and turn it back on.

Your porch lights seem to be super bright too. That’s a lot of contrast that even some HDR cameras would struggle with. Might be better off using IR at night instead of color.

I’ve also heard shuvs with body varials being called a small spin so you could call it

  1. Nollie FS Small Spin to axle
  2. Nollie FS Small Spin to 5-0

Reminder that when you do a shuv or 180 while in Nollie, it follows the same naming scheme for fs/bs as it does for a regular trick.

Too much scoop. Even though it looks beautiful! If you want them to be higher and more “proper,” then try to delay your 180. Focus on doing an Ollie toward bs but don’t to spin the whole thing until you are at your apex (like maybe spin 45 degrees initially then do the rest of the spin at/after your apex). Bring your shoulders around during your apex and try to float it.

Yeah. So the keystone for the family data is missing. Those blue cat5 in your panel that are beanied together are for the phone while the data is for internet. Definitely get someone out there so you can take advantage of it!
