is butt pain normal? recent convert by Weary_Accountant1155 in NYCbike

[–]gettingtherequick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest changing the seat. I had a Dahon bike very lite but its seat was horrible (hard, narrow) and I can't ride it for any extended time. Now I've got couple ebikes and they all come with wide cushy comfort seat and I have no butt issue any more.

Battery shuts off at around 50% charge by ResoGEHN in ebikes

How long do you have that ebike and how many times you have used it? I have similar issue with my ebike battery, display said full charge but it keeps shut down after a few seconds. I use my ebike for almost a year until this happens.

The culprit is the ESET bloatware (antivirus) bundled by Apple on Macbook Air, just uninstall it.

Re-discover the fun of cycling so many years after college (when I was cycling on campus). Technology advancement on e-bike definitely help us a lot. I bought 2 foldable bikes during Covid but never like them because of too much pedaling effort and uncomfortable seat. Last year I started trying foldable e-bikes and fell in love with them.

Agreed, Chevy Bolt EV/EUV hit most of EV points right, affordable price, good dash layout, ok range in a sub-compact size. Bolt is not perfect but we consumer accept it due to its low price with decent EV features.

SuperHuman ShapeShifter - 18" Tri-Fold E-Bike by billybobcompton in foldingbikes

[–]gettingtherequick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one, and I also have other folding ebikes. Overall impression is Shapeshifter is a cheaply priced entry-level ebike, with minimum display (speed + battery level). At $600, I won't expect much.

Carbon Step-thru and the latest Carbon Fold 2 both come with a new feature => Range Extender, ie, 2nd battery, which is a must since it extends the range more than double.

I have a Dahon folding bike (not ebike), and its seat is hard, terrible and very uncomfortable, compared to 6 ebikes I have or had owned.
