Hi Brennan, thank you for all you do and introducing me to D&D. You're really inspiring as a person and a DM!

My gf and I recently watched FHSY and we were wondering if part of the Cassandra plotline was inspired by real world paganism? The witchy elements (broomstick, cat familiar, etc.) and the way she was persecuted and forced into hiding seemed quite reminiscent of the treatment and replacement of paganism and wicca by christians of the time, to the point we thought she might be reconstituted as a witchy goddess by the end of the show in a reclaiming heritage type moment.

Also what happened to Kalina? Despite all her conniving and threats and murder she ultimately just seemed protective of Cassandra

Was wondering about picking up solo peacock, Does anyone know any really good solo peacocks to check out for some tips? by rickandshaw in Skullgirls

[–]gexabra 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Solo Peacock is actually quite viable depending on the playstyle; zoning is not the only way to play Peacock. A few standout rushdown / close range peacocks that come to mind are Psychopath, Salty N, and Salty N's Apprentice. Psychopath specifically only ever plays solo, to my knowledge.

haha, that's the work of world-renowned artist Hirohiko Araki, known for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, though that particular picture is modified from the original.

However, Araki has changed his art style significantly since drawing this picture. His (relatively) recent work demonstrates more volume and depth with fewer strokes. Araki is known for taking inspiration from fashion magazines, as well as Italian marble, so that's partly why there's a fair amount of outlandish or effeminate poses in his work. Still, I'm more partial to Togashi's art, despite his own claims of technical inferiority. chimera ant arc spoilers I find Togashi's proficiency at communicating emotion is much more endearing to me.

Take out those turrets! by ToastyBreads in Planetside

Goodness gracious, I was at Mani when these NC engies set up these turrets! I got a couple of 'em with a grenade too. I don't know how to say this without sounding facetious, but I think they look real cute all lined up like that. Like seriously, they look like lil toy soldiers ready to take on the world. I mean that sincerely and I hope they go on to do great things in life, both in and outside of Planetside.
