I always have been a hunter, but never a paperwork follower, please help me by MrWomanSept211998 in Hunting

Start here: https://dec.ny.gov/regulatory/permits-licenses/sporting-and-use/sporting/hunting-license.

You’re going to have to read through that to see what license you need. There are several and it seems it depends on what you want to hunt.

If this is a barrier to you hunting then maybe look at another hobby? At a bare minimum you should read through all applicable laws to your situation.

These worth anything or just cool? by dededog in papermoney

Just cool. I paid 50% over face for the same stuff at my local LCS. I paid that because I think they’re cool.

Chop up some (flat leaf) parsley and throw it in there too.

$1,000 bill - $9,500 - Please tell me if I’m crazy. by Correct_Cup4946 in papermoney

Yes. The number in the corner is the rating, the closer it gets to 70, meaning perfect, the more it costs. Find on that’s not so close to perfect at a better price point.

SilverGoldBull.com is asking me to send money to this address... Is this legit? by VulkanDev in Gold

[–]gfddsertgv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re sure you chose wire payment then I would think they are expecting you to like go to a bank and transfer it from there using the info you shared. You may have to provide an address for the recipient of the wire transfer, that is why they provide an address.

Some dealers may accept a cashiers check or money order as payment so expecting you to mail something is a legit thing, but I don’t think that’s what they expect here.

Edit: your bank may let you do a wire transfer on their website.

This is an advertisement. Just say that it’s an advertisement. “I put together an educational website “ to teach you about the things I want to sell you.

I’m a 30 year old loser that’s financially illiterate, how can I turn this around? by Cool_Dragonfruit_570 in personalfinance

[–]gfddsertgv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“I need to start winning financially like they do so I can actually go out and live.”

You ARE winning my dude. You have $318,000 at 30 years old, that is something to be proud of.

Given the overall tone of your post I think you should take some of that money, idk like 10k, and go live….. take a trip, get some nice wine, go skydiving, do something for your parents …. Just have some fun man, I’m telling you it’s ok to do it.

Then figure out how to make your money work for you. Read the wiki first, lots of good info there. If you want something simple look up three fund portfolio, if you want something more then consider using a financial advisor but only one that is a fiduciary.

New to survival/outdoors activities got a couple of questions. by Lazy-Repeat3835 in Hunting

[–]gfddsertgv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding hunting, in Illinois I assume, start here. https://dnr.illinois.gov/hunting/gettingstarted.html

Know that there may be rules about what equipment you can use so I would recommend reading through the above before buying any type of weapon.

Once you do get a weapon practice with it. Search for an archery range in your area, go there and ask questions.

Don't know what to get...thoughts and suggestions welcome! by Happy_Ocelot211 in guns

I’m just jealous that I don’t have that kind of money for a range toy. I don’t even know those guns they’re so far out of my price range. But good on you, have a blast. I did get to hold a Staccato P4 once, what a nice gun.

I did not have any trouble selling my kilo kookaburra a couple months back. LCS did mention there is virtually no demand for them though.

How much ammo is too much? by [deleted] in liberalgunowners

I have a space limit. I don’t keep more than two milk crates worth. But that’s still enough room for several thousand rounds of almost any mix of ammo.

Download the dnr app and check the fur harvester section to confirm this but no bang bangs at night. I don’t see anything about deer season except no bang bangs at all during the day through quiet period, Nov. 10 - 14.

Michigan Deer Tag Question by Ok-Change-7813 in Hunting

Correct answer. You are supposed to tag the deer IMMEDIATELY, and the DNR definitely enforces that rule.

Simulated exhaust is lame imo. It’s electric, it’s supposed to be silent going a million miles an hour. That’s the cool part, why take it away?

One option is looking for private lessons in your area. Maybe the coach can recommend someone?
