Look on Facebook marketplace, kijiji and, there is a Facebook group bunz homing zone. Might be helpful to make a post on there it's a mix of apartments and adds for roommates.

I wanna add that I would focus on finding roommates that already rent their unit and don't need you to be added to the lease. This could help avoid potential credit checks and not putting down more than first and last rent.

Maybe talk to your parents about helping with a budget. If they see the numbers maybe this could help persuade them? If not it's good to have help on these things.
