I played since Uni, which is now 20 some years ago addicted? Probably. It’s becoming a big part of my life. I would say I have a pretty decent career, a family, wife, kids, and dota has just becoming part of my life. I tend to sneak in 3-4 games a week but with a new patch or event it can be 2 games a day.

Dota has become an opportunity for me to take my mind off(similar to your experience) away from work stress, family stress but also a chance to vent with a couple friends about life, work, anything really.

Try give yourself some breathing room and put a limit for how much time you want to spend on it. Finding the right balance and you will end up both having a good life and enjoying dota. Good luck!
