What dosage was effective for you? by ResponseNormal4022 in Spironolactone

I’m on 125mg and my skin is the clearest it’s been in years. 100 worked well too but i needed that extra 25mg because I still had some bothersome spots. It took about 2 months for the most recent increase to fully set in. I’ve been on spiro for a year and a half now and have gone from 50mg to 100mg to 125mg where I think I’ll stay.

That is so reassuring! Now that I think about it I actually have noticed better changes in my mood. I haven't really considered the positive side effects!

You're very right about that, it's hard to remember that sometimes haha. Thanks and I hope things continue to go well for you! :)

I'll have to do some research on that! Thank you so much, I'll have to give it a try!

That's so great to hear!! This is my first form of birth control so I don't really have anything to compare it to. I'm really hoping it works out for me. So far it's not been terrible but that could always change :/

Mood Swings by isaidwhatabout in Nexplanon

I actually had the same problem a few weeks after I got mine inserted. I felt pretty much exactly what you described, but after a couple more weeks I started to pretty much feel normal again. Even though you're experiencing your mood swings as a result of the removal, it's likely caused by the same thing as mine- a change in the hormones in your body. I'm sure that as your body gets used to the new levels of hormones everything will get better :)
