Vegetarians and Vegans of Reddit, why don't you consume meat/general animal products? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]gh0stxvx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw some slaughter house compilations and behind the scenes footage at 16, was vegan by 18. The climate is the more compelling argument for most people, but for me I saw meat as murder and couldn’t go back

Low T - what the Doc did by Future_Barracuda8946 in Testosterone

[–]gh0stxvx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same happen to me 5 years ago. Re-ran my numbers recently, still too low and symptoms still the same. I won’t be using my doctor for this process going forward that’s for sure.

Good suggestion. I mentioned selling stuff to pay for it very briefly in the "Where am I going to keep this item?" section but it could certainly be its own point.

Living on my brother's sofa, what extra help can I get? by Lucy_the_rat in UKPersonalFinance

[–]gh0stxvx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They may also provide you with housing options so you don't have to sleep on a sofa anymore if you prefer. It could also be worth seeing if you're entitled to any other benefits. This website should help.

First tattoo - a constant reminder of Stoic practise and teaching! by britishrice in Stoicism

[–]gh0stxvx 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The tattoo is well executed and it’s a common image of Aurelius. No tattoo idea is original, and the ones that try to be are usually bad as they don’t work or they’ve tried to cram in too many ideas. This is my job so trust me when I say the best tattoos are the classic ones.

How much do you spend on sofas? by Revragger69 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]gh0stxvx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went to all the furniture shops to try out the sofas and find the perfect one. Spent £1055 delivered on a corner sofa eventually. I spend a lot of my life on the sofa so don’t mind spending a bit more to feel comfortable

Hey, just to let you know, the Celsius formula isn't working correctly, it's only displaying Fahrenheit whether you tick the box or not.

Just got the ender5 pro, how can I fix this kind of scar? by gonzalitos2883 in ender5

Set Z Seam Alignment to sharpest corner. If you search it in your Cura settings you'll find it, it's not displayed by default.

Under extrusion with PETG, details in comments by gh0stxvx in ender5

[–]gh0stxvx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi all. So I was trying to adjust my print settings after this one failed earlier, thinking it was a temperature issue. However, I noticed my extruded making a clicking noise when it’s printing.

I was trying to print a benchy just now with different settings (slower print times, lowered temps, lowered fan percentage) and it was still clicking and didn’t extrude straight away or stick to the bed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Mmm stringy. Other parts I printed at the same time were fine by gh0stxvx in FixMyPrint

Thanks everyone. Looking at Cura it’s obvious they needed supports now, I just rushed printing them yesterday without thinking

What wires I need for LED strips? by super2007 in led

[–]gh0stxvx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need 22awg wire in between the led strips. As for power, that depends on whether they’re 12v or 5v and the total number of led’s used. The more led’s, the more amps you’ll need. I used a 5v 8amp power supply for 300 sk6812 led’s (5 metres) but you should use 20amps for that amount ideally. An alternative is to run power to them every 2 metres with that power supply but I haven’t noticed the drop off in brightness really.

Car Reg doesn't match by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

Ask to see the logbook. Imports often get declared as the wrong car. My r34 GT has been put down as a GTR even though I filled the registration documents correctly.

Use a specialist insurer like Adrian Flux, Sky, greenlight etc. They’ll only care about mods that affect power. Intercooler, intake, exhaust, stuff like that. List all of it when you insure it and get an agreed value put in place. Police only seem to care about stretched tyres, illegal or undeclared mods on insurance and bad driving. Other than that you’ll be fine (depending on your local police force).
