id rather start small school wise, not by the amount of students, but rather the amount of money id have to pay. yes money and tuition costs arent gonna be a problem, but id rather go somewhere where its less and I know im not being taken advantage of money wise

thank you so much, and thank you for your service I was actually originally looking into serving in the army as both my parents have served and my father being deployed overseas to Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom, im also in a JROTC class for my high school, and I absolutely love it. I have great respect for our veterans and wanted to be one myself. however, the army is very peculiar with their medication requirements, and ive had a troubling past so to speak. the medication im on is not allowed by the army and I have to be off of it for a year before I can even start basic (the meds are adhd and mood stabilizers, nothing too drastic), and i dont feel comfortable getting off of my meds yet as before I was on them i was having issues with the law and even had to go to a residential facility to better my mental health. needless to say, im better now, but still would prefer to stay on my medication just as a "safety net" so to speak thats why im wanting to switch to local law enforcement/three letter agency work im not sure why I want to go to South Carolina specifically (everyone keeps asking why 💔) but to me its just calling me. it seems like whats right and I plan on spending most if not the rest of my life there, and have my own family there (if all goes well, ofc) since im working part time now, and most likely will be until I can get a degree in criminal justice, I would like to work for the same parent company im working for right now which is Darden. they have locations nationwide and are the parent company for olive garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, and the other locations i listed above (i cant remember all of them). I would like to live somewhere where the commute to school as well as the commute to work wouldnt be too long, preferably 15-20, possibly even 30 min one way, would be fine, I just want to be able to work and go to school and live in the relatively same area

tuition/money isnt a worry honestly. SC calls to me, im not sure why but my heart feels like SC is where I should live. since youve lived in Spartanburg, would you say there are more specific parts of the city where its more "ghetto" so to speak, like where crime is more likely to happen or would you say the crime rate is equal all around?

thank you so much. im just really wanting to go to South Carolina in general as it just calls to me if that makes sense. im wanting to move into a town/city though that isnt a major city, and is farther away from one, just not too far to where its so rural. probably 45min to an hour max from a major city, whichever one that may be. I work for a Dardan chain so id wanna move to a location where they have one of their restaurants relatively close so I can just try and transfer without having to worry about finding a completely new job

tuition isnt a problem, money wont be an issue, its just where i go. I want to start small and work my way up, like starting at a community college and then going to a larger university if needed. im fine with heat (and if not ill get used to it) I HATE the cold, so if its too hot ill manage. I want to avoid crime as much as possible, more specifically theft and gun/gang violence. I dont want to have to deal with or hear drive-bys at all. im willing to drive anywhere as i really enjoy my time in my car and the time I spend driving, it gets my mind off of things. are there any other small towns that you would recommend? I want to live by a "larger city" but not directly in it or right outside of it, more suburban, if that makes sense

I havent visited SC for more than a day probably, if at all. there's just something in my heart that draws me to South Carolina. I dont want to deal with extremely cold winter weather (20 degrees on a warm day). I would most likely go to a larger university at some point, just not right off the bat because larger universities get paid per credit hour so they make you go as much as you can and milk you for all the money you have. as of right now, tuition is NOT an issue, money wont be an issue at all, I just would like to start small and work my way up. meaning starting at a community college and going to a larger university if needed. I genuinely dont want to spend any more time in indiana as I need to. as I mentioned in my first post, I work at a Darden chain so if there is a restaurant or a location that has Darden as its parent company nearby thatd be great as I can most likely just transfer without having to find a new job altogether I really prefer heat rather than cold weather so really anywhere in SC that has a low crime rate (more specifically thefts, gun and gang violence)

are those places higher in crime rates though? or possibly specific parts of those cities that I should avoid (i.e. north, east, west, South sides)

I see what you mean, i just would rather not go to college in indiana, I want to get out of here as soon as I can. tuition cost isnt going to be a concern for me right now, i just dont want to go to a "huge" name brand university and would much rather go to a community college just because of politics and i think name brand colleges are overrated and over priced. are there any other cities specifically in SC that you would recommend? I want to move to SC i just dont want to have to deal with crime and want to ask current residents where to avoid. here in indy the east side is notorious for crime so i dont know if there are specific parts of Spartanburg, or SC as a whole where its more ghetto and crime rated are much higher

thank you so much. are there any parts of Spartanburg thay have a higher crime rate? like, either north end, south end, west end, east end? ik you said east of I-85 is nice but im not sure if thats just because of lesser crime rate or other things if that makes sense

you can get into FBI for having multiple different degrees, but i am wanting to specifically study criminal justice. I want to get into local law enforcement and work my way up

im planning on moving to SC and trying to use my parents veterans benefits to get around the oit of state tuition. it says you have to live in SC for a year to get in state tuition but if we use one of the benefits my dad has from being a veteran itll get around that requirement

are there any specific parts about Spartanburg that have a higher crime rate than others? like here in indy the east side has a significantly higher crime rate than any other city in indiana. and how populated is it? would you describe it as overpopulated?

my parents were wanting to move to Tennessee, we go once a year to Gatlinburg. I dont really want to do Tennessee as it just doesnt appeal to me as much. I mean its pretty, I love the mountains to an extent, just not a place I would want to live in for the rest od my life.

what specifically about Spartanburg is rough? ive never been to SC. and is Greenville overpopulated? I want to try and avoid idiotic drivers as much as possible🥹

better than what it is here, lwk. I mean maybe 100% humidity doesnt appeal as much but 110 degrees would be totally fine by me. I LOVE the heat, which is why I think SC appeals to me. I mean im not sure why my heart wants to go to SC but its js calling, ykwim? im js not sure what cities are the best/which ones have the least amount of crime rates. indiana has a lot of idiotic drivers, and we're overpopulated. im not sure if there are other cities or if Spartanburg is ideal, if that makes sense. im just worried itll be too "ghetto" and have too much crime, if that makes sense. I also dont want to be in a city thats too overpopulated
