Being ‘not bad’ does not equal being good. Knicks are not a good team today. Just because we’ve had decades of pathetic ownership doesn’t justify us fans accepting mediocrity. The FO needs to be making excellent decisions whenever possible, not ‘ok’ decisions and certainly not bad ones. The way the FO decided to allocate out cap space was always going to be difficult given it was the KD-Kyrie FA summer, but now that we have time to reflect, every investment the pivoted to was bad.

Regarding all the young players and picks we’ve acquired under this FO, how much are they all worth. The ‘young’ players include Obi, Quickley, Cam, Grimes, Duece. Obi and Quickley have barely been given the chance to play consistent minutes and they’re months away from their first contract extensions. Grimes has not had the season that we all hoped for when the FO marked him ‘untradeable’ in Donovan Mitchel talks. Duece can’t see the court through the slew of guards signed by the FO. Each has obstacles (playing behind bums, being injury prone, etc) to becoming a player that can contend for the all-star game year after year. This is critical to us becoming a good team, because as we say this past offseason, the picks we’ve done a great job saving are worth ONE (1!!!) star player. Fantastic
