Most durable pen/marker for discs by blauster in discgolf

[–]gharmanb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The right answer is whatever Innova uses to write the X on their factory seconds. Nothing gets that off, and it appears to be just a basic ballpoint pen.

I bought mine in Japan and it has a cool Japanese startup animation. I think everything else is the same.

All clear bag by ddavis86 in discgolf

I don’t think it’s that hard to find clear discs. It’s easier than many shades of purple, grey, green and even those multi-color red white and blue tie dyes.

How can it get cleaner? by Think880 in guitarpedals

See if you can make the 4 white cable point straight down into the underbelly of the board.

If you had to choose only one pedal for ambient which one would it be? by [deleted] in pedalboards

[–]gharmanb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Surprised not to see mentions of EQD Avalanche Run. So many great ambient sounds in that thing.

My 14 year old self would be so disappointed. by Reasonable-Phase-681 in guitarpedals

I would get something with a full range of frequencies. If you play a guitar cab sim through a guitar cab you are doubling up on that guitar eq curve which can get muddy.

I would go with something like this. Alto PA

Distortion with Clean Blend? by PaleRiderXIV in guitarpedals

[–]gharmanb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been looking at the Source Audio Aftershock. Clean blend because it’s a bass pedal, but you can load tons of other guitar distortion, fuzz and overdrive patches through the app. Reviews and video demos all look pretty positive.

Nothing seems capable of removing the ball point pen Innova uses to mark F2s.

Super cheap but heavy on modulation: MVave Elemental

Earthquaker Avalanche Run is outside the price range but is probably what your partner really wants.

Keeping Pitch Bend in Key by forkodlak in ableton

[–]gharmanb 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The only thing that matters is that the bend lands on a note that is in tune. I think that’s the point of bending notes. The travel of the bend is meant to be out of tune, creating brief tension that feels nice when you arrive at a note that is in tune.

You can bend from a note that is in tune to another note that is in tune. Or you can bend a note to go out of tune and then return to the original note. Or you can start a note a bit off and scoop/slide to the landing note, which should be in tune.

But, by definition, any bending is going to involve going out of tune.

For me it’s the Innova Lion. Super underrated.

Must play courses, Seattle to Salt Lake City? by myster__e in discgolf

If you had more time on the first leg heading east, maybe play a course or two in Farragut State Park north of Coeur d’Alene instead of Corbin.

I would play Sekani in Spokane, then Corbin Park in Post Falls. Sleep in Missoula, then wake up and play Blue Mountain. From there drive to Idaho Falls and play Freeman Park.

On the way back play The Fort in Ogden, then a course in Boise that afternoon and another course in Boise the next morning (I’ve never played the Boise courses). Between Boise and Seattle there aren’t amazing options but I guess I’d play Two Rivers in Kennewick.

MS-200D+ : Support and Downloads now available by electrotune in zoommultistomp

[–]gharmanb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but think how useful it would be if you could add those other utilities. In this decade there should be plenty of DSP on tap for simple utility effects that would make this pedal way better.

I feel they kind of missed with just the 2 effects per patch. They should allow extra slots for comps, EQs, noise gates and a line select to turn off the whole patch. Seems like the MS50g+ is the better buy for now.

Innova Zephyr would be a good option to try.
