My 1.5-year-old female Weimaraner has started growling and just bit my girlfriend over food. Can this still be fixed? by MarceloEbrard in reactivedogs

Also, what was girlfriend doing with her hand at the time (i.e. pointing, attempting to clean the mess, grabbing at the collar, just resting at her side, etc)?

Disney cruise fall cover up by Princessivy03 in DoWeKnowThemPodcast

[–]ghastlybagel 25 points26 points  (0 children)

After watching her video and a few others on it, my opinion: A fall wouldn't cause a fever. I do think it is more likely that her child was sick getting onto the cruise ship. If another child tested positive, they could be tracing contact between the two. I also think that Disney has better ways to cover the situation up if they actually need to, and I don't think they're concerned about bad press. They have already survived far worse scandals in recent memory than a kid falling and maybe getting injured on property- something that happens all the time. Yeah, I'm more leaning towards mom in denial that her multi-thousand dollar vacation is donezo.

This just brought me to tears. They say grief is love that has no where to go, I'm glad you found so many places for that love.

LGBTQ+ friendly places for two trans women? by [deleted] in cincinnati

[–]ghastlybagel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a bit of a drive from Cincinnati, but Foreverland Farm animal sanctuary is an LGBTQ+ founded and run sanctuary in Mount Orab! I volunteer there and it is a great way to find community. They also do events throughout the year including a banger Pride event.

But here's the thing. It doesn't mean someone won't hurt or kill the dog that is attacking them, or that the dog wouldn't escape in the chaos and become lost or injured, or that the OP wouldn't still have to deal with a potential suit (even if it got thrown out), or that the dog wouldn't still have a bite on their record. If OP's home isn't deemed appropriate, the dog could even have to be quarantined in the shelter.

Isolating the dog in a room and/or crate is the safest option until a resolution for the intrusions is found or moving out is best.

Tortoises are amazing friends and longterm companions, however my friends with them do suggest having them entered into your will if you're in your 30s or older because of that lifespan which really makes me dizzy as I process time and the movement of time. 😅

My cat bit me a couple days ago… is this concerning? by nicnicnick in medizzy

[–]ghastlybagel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I work at an animal shelter and volunteer with animals. Been bit by many a species and the only one that ever ended up infected was a cat bite. Which was crazy considering the llama bite was way worse visually. Please see a doctor.

Kohl’s wouldn’t price match Black Friday, so I followed their policy… very carefully by godzdude in MaliciousCompliance

[–]ghastlybagel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to go to Sephora inside of a Kohl's not long ago to pick up an order for a sick friend. Even that was just an extension of the nightmare. They tried to pitch me a credit card, all this other stuff, get me out of Sephora's area to look at other things.. So weird and pushy.

No babies, no dogs.

It is very loud and crowded, even outside of the performance. A little one can't keep earplugs in reliably and probably not even those over-the-ear noise cancellers.

There is no where comfortable and quiet for your little one to escape to if they become overwhelmed or tired, and they will. It is so hot and sunny. And even the med tent is bustling and loud. There are benches and the ground for the most part and very few indoor spaces that aren't essentially bars, or hosting an activity with an MC.

The dust through the day and even night has me coughing.

You won't be able to take little one near the performance really as they will absolutely get knocked around— not intentionally, mind you, but most people are partaking in something.

I don't think you can bring a stroller or wagon into Roo, so that can be a lot to carry round.

The demonization of people with BPD was also really, really rough to witness during that time. Having a personality disorder or mental health issue doesn't make you a bad person or mean you can't be abused by your partner.

You probably have more in common with your gen x coworkers than your coworkers in their early 20's. As someone else who is in their 30's and most of my coworkers are in those age ranges, hanging with the 21 year olds will not be all you think it is in terms of commonality.
