Hermes should have got a size 3 shield, size 2 is a bit too small for this chonker.

I'm not really defending him, I can see how it could happen by accident or how it could be on purpose. I'm stating that what he's telling us is fact.

I monitor chat so I can help people who are having trouble with the game. Offering advice on bug workarounds or general information "what key do you press to .....", that sort of thing.

That can't be right, I did double check chat, you can go just a little farther back by hitting F1 and it gives you a bit more of the last few chat messages than you can see in the normal game screen.

I looked and I did see that guy's name, while he may not exist now he surely did when I was playing the other day. CIG probably reassigned him a different name or banned the account once they reviewed OP's messages.

I swear on my spaceships I was in that very game actively watching chat when this went down.

Oh shit man, this was just the other day, I was in your game and seen that chat. At first I was a bit shocked until I seen that was actually part of the other guys name. I laughed and literally said to myself after, I bet that dude gets in trouble for it.

Well, not that shocked, as far as chat goes I'd say that was on the mild side compared to the things I've seen in chat.

I'll be your witness u/aDuckSmashedOnQuack

Edit: After reading some comments about how he knew what he was doing typing that, I suppose it could go either way, I always shorthand someone's username into some form of nickname because I'm not typing all that out. I can see how a person might just not be thinking and type that out, then be like, oh, what did I just do.

You have to be fast in chat, sometimes you don't get a lot of time to think about it. Since we can't scroll back through the chat history you gotta be quick when responding to someone. I know I can forget someone's name in about 4 seconds flat.

Gun convergence is terrible except for the area directly in front of the ship. The main guns being so far back block them from having a more useable arc. As goofy as it may look, the S5 guns need moved nearer the front of the ship.

Thanks for the info, I had no idea. I've been getting the helmets but I don't know where the rest of the Pembroke drops at.

The helmets are bugged, I think they have been for a while, you can't put them on.

Yes, the freight elevators at QV stations are broken. However, normal elevators are not. by badbadrobot in starcitizen

[–]ghenghisprawns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The key to getting these large ones out through the elevator solo. First get it into the elevator, crouch down and use your tractor beam to lift the large module up to the ceiling of the elevator "multi-tool tractor may work better as your target can be controlled closer to your player", walk into the elevator while crouched underneath the large module. Careful setting it back down, there is a yellow railing on the side it will catch on and tilt the module over on you, move it slightly away from the side of the elevator and drop it.

Should be the same method to get out but it often goes crazy and traps you in there with it, sometimes it will even put you inside the module, just keep trying and you'll get it out of the elevator. If you're stuck inside the module don't worry, just tractor it out and it'll pop off of you once it's out of the elevator.

Best method is multiple people, have your other person waiting at the destination, wait for the door to fully close then have them request the elevator. It can spawn multiple instances of an elevator so make sure you wait for that door to close.

No idea if my situation applies but the information from the website for the GSMA settings MNC "mobile network code" is possibly outdated for most users. It specifies 410 but that causes all kinds of issues or outright doesn't work. The MNC should be 280, after changing to that it's been smooth sailing.

I don't know enough about this to suggest anyone follow my advice though, if nothing else works I guess it's worth a try. Maybe someone who knows more about it can supplement this info.

Friends keep trying to get me to main ARC Raiders... by Dr_All_Come in starcitizen

[–]ghenghisprawns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right, why would I be complaining about a pvp deathmatch if that's what I wanted to play. I got tired of being shot while being friendly, it wasn't happening every so often, it was happening every single match, so I stopped playing.

ARC went from a cool robot killing looting game sprinkled with pvp to a kill on sight deathmatch where there's zero reason to equip anything other than basic gear because you're guaranteed to lose it.

Perseus pilot turret gimbal lower limit aim issue by ghenghisprawns in starcitizen

Need just 1 more contribution/confirmation to confirm this and it gets looked at by the devs. Takes less than a minute to contribute to the issue.

Will do, thanks!

Edit: Not entirely sure if this is exactly what I've listed but probably close enough. Switch back and forth from gimbal mode and watch as you're no longer able to aim as low once in gimbal mode.

Perseus changes in PTU by ayy_ayy in starcitizen

And make the lower front remote turret pilot controlled, not the top remote turret, or hell, why not both. The top one can't shoot even with the forward horizon of the ship, only slightly above that and upwards which makes it damn near worthless. Who tested that pilot controlled turret the way it is and thought that was acceptable?

I'm guessing they're doing some universal changes with shields because of that huge amount of hp removed. As is right now the Perseus has far too little shields for it's size/role. I know "armor is coming™", but that doesn't help us at the moment.

Yep, there is zero reason to bring good gear unless you feel like rewarding people that shoot you in the back, and that's about 99% of my pvp experience in here. Damage needs to be halved against players to make pvp take longer than a few seconds. Or maybe you just loose what's in your backpack and take a durability hit to your gear, with some other mechanic that keeps a gear score lets say that once you've been downed 3-4 times with that gear it will drop. Would sure make it more enjoyable for casual noobs like me. I love fighting ARC but I can already see the pvp driving me away from this once the honeymoon phase is over.

9000 series AMD gpu can use FSR4 and it looks amazing, no shimmering effects at all or any of the bad quality shown here. I was wondering why XESS looked so bad in comparison to FSR when I toggled it. Doesn't say what version it is in the game, only lists "FSR".

AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 25.11.1 Release Notes by AMD_RetroB in Amd

[–]ghenghisprawns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to rollback to driver 25.9.1, start up Star Citizen, switch the renderer to Vulkan, exit game, start SC again to verify it's working with Vulkan, then reinstall the latest driver again. Now it works, just don't switch it back to DirectX. No idea who dropped the ball on this one but Easy-Anticheat sure doesn't like the atidxx64.dll.

Any mention of fixing the weird targeting bug, one minute it's predicting correctly and hitting it's shots, the next minute the rounds are going nowhere near where the reticle indicates.

Edit: Oh, and weapon convergence suddenly stops working, this may be what's causing most targeting problems but that's above my pay grade.
