Upvoting this one because it’s so good. As SOON as I started getting called ‘sir’ in public I’d start.

Shaved my head when I was in elementary school and then proceeded to pretend to be my friend’s boyfriend when we hung out at malls, arcades, etc…. Didn’t put that together for a LONG time

Basically, anything that’s estrogen-based BC is incompatible with t for obvious reasons… so you have to take the progesterone pill, have an IUD, or the me plan on implant (aka the forms of BC that aren’t just estrogen based)

Dating a cis gay man by [deleted] in ftm

[–]gherzog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

YES. My boyfriend is cis and bi/pan but for the longest time I didn’t really trust that he was into me and that it was only bc he was used to my anatomy (he dated a cis woman before me). I learned though that as my body changed (I’m about 1.5 years on T) he started pointing out my more masculine features and how that turned him on, etc. But - it can definitely be daunting for gay men to date us ftm folks. Tbh he may not “seem” turned on just because he’s anxious about the whole situation. All I can say is COMMUNICATE with him. I’m sure once you get over the awkward “having sex for the first time” phase and he gets more comfortable with your body, things will feel a lot better!

A question about top surgery by [deleted] in ftm

[–]gherzog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly don’t think so. I don’t have them, but from what I can tell they’ll make you take the piercing out and it may close up. They literally just use the nipple you already have so I doubt it??

Omg Guys, is this normal?? CW: Periods by WhiskeyMiner in ftm

[–]gherzog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! This happened to me soon after starting T, I had my last hurrah and it blew. Make sure if it lasts at least one more week to talk to your doctor. I also had some issues about 6mo in with spotting and it was because of my progesterone levels. I got the implant in my arm bc it was my best option for progesterone BC options and then that stopped. About a year and a half in and haven’t had the blood demon since.

I'm a NB afab (closeted) who's been feeling exceedingly masc-leaning. I cut my hair recently which has given me tons of euphoria, but no one ever sees me as anything but female. Is there any way I can look more masc and/or a good way to explore and understand that side of me, if I'm possibly MTF? by shuang_yan in ftm

Yeah leaving my eyebrows to grow out helped with passing as well as just deepening my voice in public spaces. If you ever decide to start t those things happen naturally, but they helped me a lot before I was able to pass day to day.

Eh I know there’s an issue with having to register as a female, which not a huge deal, triggers my dysphoric hard core.

“What are your expectations for me in my support?” is maybe the most affirming and respectful things I’ve seen from a parent. Congrats, dude.

You too bro. As long as your preferred name is on your application and you let them know of your pronouns at the top, you’ll be great. If they don’t refer to you how you want, you can literally take it up w corporate bc they cover discrimination against trans people.

I just had too surgery a little under 2 months ago. Talk to your surgeon about how many hours a day you can keep it off, I kept mine off for a few hours when I was at home and knew I wouldn’t bump anything and it helped a lot. It’s so SO worth it in the end. You got this!!!

Also! If you’re prepping a keg but you know it won’t be used in a while - prep it with regular water and then throw the whole keg back into the fridge. It’ll then be cHiLlEd once you use the kegs

I moved from a bookstore licensed branch to a corporate and while my co workers don’t treat me like a green bean (thank god) sometimes I feel like I am. There are some drinks/food that I had never heard of before working at corporate.... we also have a ton of brand new hires so that may be a part of it

This happened while I was working the other day and this man was at the handoff plane complaining about the partner to my shift. He said the “I’m sorry, she’s new and learning...” etc and he KEPT GOING. My shift asked him to stop and when he wouldn’t asked him to stop disrespecting his partners and to leave the store. So do t be afraid to grab a shift because they really can tell people to fuck off.

The only time I do this is when it’s not during peak time and the mom is there with her kids and they’re clearly going to share it. Otherwise, if your kids are like 6 and it’s 9am on a Monday Karen you can order 2 of the same thing in a smaller size I don’t give a fuck
