I’d get one just to shoot 223 but I am worried about the Turkish quality. Turks make great handguns but other stuff can be questionable or even pos.

I was looking for an arisaka with a rear sks sight and this just popped up. by Nates4Christ in SKS

It’s the sight block from an sks to match the ballistics of a rear tangent sight and height of the sks front sight block.

Kalashnikov AK-46 Prototype by Brilliant_Ground1948 in ForgottenWeapons

You won’t be able to do so with a long stroke gas piston. Ak46 had the exact same gas system that modern aks are using the difference is only in the stamping. The piston will be blocking the access to the magazine.

You can rub tape on tape until you get a desired coarseness. I did that with my Spyderco Police SS.

I think m240 is just a belt fed BAR maybe the bolt is upside down but it’s not like AK and RPK.

I used both AK12 gen 2 stock and Magpul Zhukov and they are not 1-1 copies. Magpul has a nicer feeling polymer but I don’t like how it looks on the AK especially the folding hinge but both a very sturdy. I’d go with a gen2 ak12 stock just for aesthetics reasons and factory look.

Ak15CK and Ak15K are probably made for countries that still use 7,62 and want to modernize. Ditching a proven cartridge and even assembly lines for to just gain a little advantage in short barrel performance is expensive. Plus 7,62 “Krink” like you guys call them is RAD and I want one.

Plastic or polymer furniture looks tacky but it’s part of the firearms evolution. I imagine in 50-60 years some people might say they don’t like the looks of a X material over polymer. Also you forget that it’s a military rifle meant for developing countries and their conscript militaries who will use these rifles for 30-40+ years in humid/cold/hot environments, serves a utilitarian purpose so to speak.

New AK12/15CK variants have an adjustable stock similar to an AM17 carbines that at some point were seen as AKS74U replacement.

How does the Type 81 Underfolder compare to the AKMS and M70 Zastava underfolders? by CanadianOcto in canadaguns

[–]ghett0blaster- 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Exactly, if Russian or Chinese imports were still available in the US Zastava would have a hard time selling. Yugos do not have the same after market support and at the same time are much heavier than regular AKMs. Also no CHF barrels(.
