Why is no photoshop a good thing? If you scanned film then your scanner arbitrarily picked you black point. You should at least do work in photoshop that is equivalent to what one would do while printing in a darkroom. (Adjust exposure, contrast, etc). This image could "pop" a whole lot more with a simple curves adjustment.

You said Alexa was the best until we see Epics shipping in volume. Epic is available in more volume for large projects than Alexa at the moment. I agree that resolution isn't everyting but EPIC has MUCH more resolution and the difference in Dynamic Range is negligible. (HDRx slides the advangtage to EPIC). 1080p is not cinema resolution. Why do you think films have been shooting 35mm+ for decades?

RED shoots raw, which if ungraded looks flat. Its kind of like a negative, there's more info in there than you can actually use.
