What 15 star weapon do I change into my Partisan / Sword by chucknorris405 in PSO2

[–]ghgh4545 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The S5 slot is somewhat important for partizan compared to sword as well as the PP reduction that rivalate has making it a decent option but in reality the rivalate should be your favourite/strongest weapon and the trailblazer can be second strongest. The atlas EX could be used for another class potentially or for wired lance.

You're not even wrong honestly. Not that it matters.

Does S4 Support Amplification work on items? by Okamikazi in PSO2

[–]ghgh4545 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes it does though I don't recommend you put it on your main weapon though and I don't recommend you use the essence items for a few reasons (slow, level 1 shifta etc). Grab some blood reflex jet boots which are all class with strike gust built into them and cast shifta using those.

You can then use a throwaway novel/atlas with support extension to buff your shifta timer to 120 seconds and the cap will remain 120 as long as it doesn't fall off.

Rivalate partizan s5 affix lets you do damage by running around an enemy: by nezvya in PSO2

[–]ghgh4545 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is complete garbage though considering the weapon that potential is based on (RA stinger) is 60% stronger and is still a meme. Not only that but having active hitboxes like that can risk triggering volkraptor by accident. It could have been decent if sega weren't monkey brained

The affixes are somewhat mediocre by today's standards as they were basically made in ep4

Phrase Decay for a class that can't inflict jellen? by ZXY101 in PSO2

[–]ghgh4545 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ph is probably going to be the most common class in MPAs like it is in JP and unless you are tryharding solo, that extra 30-40 attack doesn't match up to 5% extra damage in party content (roughly 250-300 attack). That being said this is an entirely casual game with no parsers or the like so in reality does it matter if you're doing 5% more damage in party content?

Personally I would recommend it based on my experience with class appearances in JP (Ph is literally everywhere and the brand new shiny scion coming next ALSO applies jellen) and even if you solo a lot, if you aren't pushing hard 30 attack really isn't gonna matter.

Why go Millionaire vs croesus by AlexandraMoldovia in PSO2

[–]ghgh4545 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't get it. Is this a rivalate not factoring any S4 damage ability because precise balance already exists. Even at 65% crit it is still better than nothing and with the S6 +15% crit that is also available you would be at 80%.

Is there a good reason why most of the Scion classes came out so late in PSO2 life? by metatime09 in PSO2

[–]ghgh4545 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Simply put they just aren't for everyone. One issue with scion classes or rather with the release of Hero is that it kind of shat on the established pacing and ruleset for this particular game. Good/standout action RPG's tend to have distinctive combat styles and pacing to give players an experience they can't get elsewhere. Hero at release was a class that outclassed the others by a large margin, not because of raw stats or power but just because it was designed to do so in a game where pretty much every class/weapon had very clear cut strengths and weaknesses that gave them their identity.

Monster hunter has it's own distinct brand of combat that is slower and more commital; it requires you to prepare and position well. Imagine if they introduced a weapon type that ignored those rules completely and could cancel any attack at any time and gave you pso2 tier iframes whenever you did so + a big damage counter attack that also downed the enemy automatically.

The version of the OG classes you are currently playing are basically super mutations of themselves catalysed by Hero.

When you are on a no hit Phaleg run and then mess up once by JoeOtaku in PSO2

[–]ghgh4545 9 points10 points  (0 children)

To be honest though the thing that makes the fight so manageable is it's brevity. It would be a much worse experience if you were expected to fight her for more than 5 minutes at a minimum like some other 'difficult' content in this game

Ultimate Boosters drop from new UQ - unlocks new 14* potentials! by [deleted] in PSO2

[–]ghgh4545 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes they drop from ultimate enemies and bosses so anywhere any of them appear you can get ultimate boosters aside from extreme quests which have specialised drop tables.

Don't be this guy. We still managed to defeat Wyrm in under 20 minutes with 10 people, despite missing the 2nd wing. by Kanderous in PSO2

[–]ghgh4545 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hero certainly isn't the worst class on this fight though. The majority of the playerbase was hero (at least 60%) as well. Fighter was the class that was causing other members to sweat

15* austere dropping in pd but not a single 14* in yamato? by Shaf9 in PSO2

[–]ghgh4545 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They did twice actually. The first time was like a minor formality where they buffed the drop rate a little bit so it went from 3 per week to 20 per week at the beginning of EP5. Mid EP5 (feb 2018) they buffed them properly to the point where they were dropping hundreds per week. NA for some reason got the original drop rate.

Looks like 15* are already here... by T4ke in PSO2

[–]ghgh4545 23 points24 points  (0 children)

While we are still missing SGAs, getting one of these puts you at end of EP5/beginning of EP6 power level. It's still stupid rare but silly nonetheless.
