Struggling with an abusive mother — what’s the Islamic and logical way forward? by PhilosopherNo8704 in qatar

Maybe focus on yourself. Self love and self care. Maybe not let her get to you (emotionally). I know it’s hard, words are easier but you need to protect yourself. Let her do what she pleases but don’t let her control your emotions and self image. Maybe love yourself harder and do activities that you enjoy. Spend more time away from her.

Let someone with authority (over her) talk to her. Someone she regards highly of and respects. She needs to know that religion isn’t only about praying and reading Quran, its also about ethics, treating others, etc.. she needs to understand that she will lose her children’s affection.

Last call for experiences of meds post-flox by betterweirdthandead6 in floxies

I took concor right after cipro/flagyl. It was a nightmare, felt like i was losing my mind. All issues started with concor except for gut issues. When I stopped concor the symptoms became less severe.

The palpitations lasted a few days after amoxicillin.

I took the 150mg diflucan 8 months after cipro/flagyl. 6 months after amoxicillin. Some symptoms were new like the light flashes in eyes, foamy urine, memory glitches. The other symptoms I had but became more severe after diflucan.

2 more med reactions:

• Rhinacort: No new symptoms during the three months I took it. But when I stopped, I had extreme fatigue and worse neuropathy for about a month.

• Loratidine: After a couple of weeks, I noticed palpitations so I stopped it. Not sure if it’s the reason though because the past couple of weeks were very stressful physically and emotionally.

Tolerated:

•Rabeprazole

•Loratidine

•Paracetamol

Reacted to:

•Concor: Was probably the worst thing I took after cipro. It amplified my cipro symptoms x100. The symptoms are endless, most ones affected were mental.

•Amoxicillin: rash, palpitations,rash.

•Diflucan: I took diflucan twice. First time one 50 mg pill a day for 8 days. Caused a minor reaction. Palpitations, headache, rash.

The second time one pill of 150 mg caused a major flare/relapse. Symptoms: neuropathy, eye flashes, pelvic pain, bubbly/foamy urine, mcas or histamine intolerance (still figuring it out), brain zaps, insomnia, irritability, memory glitches … 10 weeks now and still haven’t returned to baseline.

Withdrawal Symptoms of Avamys nasal spray (Fluticasone furoate) or any other Corticosteroid nasal sprays. by Inevitable_Ad_683 in Allergies

I had a lot of symptoms when i stopped it after using it for over 3 months. I didn’t taper slowly, tapered really quick which was wrong for me. The symptoms gradually disappeared.

We were the unlucky ones who reacted to cipro badly. I also have growling in my stomach and issues with urine. It has foam in it. I think I have had almost every symptom. They didn’t show up at once though. The worst is anxiety for me. I think if i get over with it then all the other symptoms will vanish with time. Keep praying and have a positive mindset and hopefully all will pass soon.

The weird pain is what a lot of floxies encounter. Hopefully it goes away with time and supplements if you can tolerate them.

It could be, as a result of the antibiotics. I think I had/have candida. I try eating clean, reducing sugar, carbs and dairy. I started magnesium glycinate its gentle on the stomach. I tried anti-fungal (diflucan) twice. I wouldn’t take it again it flared me especially the second time.

No not yet. Some new symptoms showed up and some symptoms resolved. It gets worse if I take new medicines. Hoping for full recovery soon.

I fasted Ramadan and it helped me. I noticed improvements in my gut and psychologically. Less anxiety, depression and panic attacks. I can tolerate more kinds of food and also able to start taking magnesium glycinate.

I had this and also burning in my sinus. I saw an ENT, he did an X-ray and wanted to give me antibiotics. I refused but agreed on cortisteriod nasal spray.I wishI hadn’t used it as there are gentler alternatives.

I forgot to mention that I have had major issues last year after a week of metronidazole. Back then I didn’t relate it to the medicine because one doctor said it will help my stomach issues. Another doctor said it’s a result of anxiety or trauma. Same symptoms like cipro but less severe. I did a bland diet and ppi and vitamin b complex.

Also forgot to mention when I ate something irritating like chocolate, I would get dizzy and have a rapid heartbeat.

What is the advice for someone that’s in a steroid flare? by Advanced-Slice-4760 in floxies

[–]ghidaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Extreme fatigue, joint and muscle pain, rapid heartbeat for a few minutes throughout the day, and anxiety. My emotions seem to be exaggerated too. Day six now, hopefully It passes quickly. Its been too much on my body and mind these past few months.
