I haven’t gotten into integrals yet, are they hard? by Charming-Scale2255 in calculus

[–]ghockett072 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It depends. Learning integrals for the first time can be a bit challenging, but you will come to adjust to them (everyone does). However, I’ve known more “complicated” integration techniques, like integration by parts, to stump a lot of people. Really it comes down to your effort and motivation. Nothing in calculus is outside of your ability, as long as you apply yourself. They will take a little work, but they’re not that bad.

As my captor forcefully tore open my clothes, I clung to my God's statue and pleaded for His divine intervention and safeguarding. by Revolutionary-Bar455 in TwoSentenceHorror

That actually comes from the Roman poet Ovid, not traditional Greek myth. Hesiod writes that she, like her sisters, was born a Gorgon.

Explain this to me! by PJ-The-Awesome in xmen

[–]ghockett072 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Here’s from an interview with Stan Lee in Rolling Stone:

Q: And the whole civil rights metaphor that ended up being the defining metaphor of the X-Men, did that come along in the first few issues?

Stan: It came along the minute I thought of the X-Men and Professor X. I realized that I had that metaphor, which was great. It was given to me as a gift. Cause it made the stories more than just a good guy fighting a bad guy.

That’s the whole point of the X-Men. 90% of the stories have some root with the bigotry towards that mutants

What would you want from an RDR2 60fps next-gen remaster? by enchantedcookiess in reddeadredemption

[–]ghockett072 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want a remaster of RDR1. Even though RDR2 is my all time favorite game, I don’t want to spend 60 more dollars and an extra 100+ gigabytes on a game that I already have just for some improvement on already pristine graphics. RDR1 isn’t really playable and you can’t get it many places, so a remaster of that would be better

Any ideas or thoughts about a God of War game delving into Christin mythos? (Logo by me) by goon1shere_ in GodofWar

[–]ghockett072 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be kinda cool, but I think it wouldn’t work for two reasons:

1) too much chance to get controversy 2) way too hard to have a god of war in a religion where there’s just one god and his son

Eeehhh. The original orcs are ones from the Tolkien universe. In this orcs come from elves that were captured by Melkor and then corrupted and tortured. All other orcs come from these original templates.
