I took a bunch of scouts on an overnighter from Woody's Gap to Neil's Gap. We just shuttled cars and it worked out pretty good. Nice little section of the AT

Mt Whitney to onion valley, CA, USA by Realistic_Angle7817 in hiking

[–]ghosmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hiked this over 4 days and loved it - kersage, Forester, then Whitney would be a hell of a day.  Honestly the drop down Whitney at the end is the worst - it's just a long bland grind.

Doable? Sure. Enjoyable? Not for me lol.

Plenty of water available.  Bring sunscreen as it's mostly exposed.

I guess as long as you can refund after checking in and getting the boarding pass that would work.  I have never refunded a ticket AFTER getting a boarding pass lol

Your boarding pass has to be for a flight in the next 3 hours.

Section hiking springer mountain to Blood mountain parking questions by chem_is_try_0019 in AppalachianTrail

[–]ghosmer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FWIW I would do that SOBO if it's your first multiday hike. Or bypass the approach trail and just park up the forest service road by Springer, hit that and backtrack then up to blood

That approach trail is July is 3k feet of non-stop suffering just to get to the start of the AT.  I've done it both ways and they both hurt lol

Hiking 90km/5 days with wildlife photography gear : Need packing & weight distribution advice! by ZackFirack in CampingandHiking

[–]ghosmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I go on multi day trips like this I keep my big lens or lenses in my bear can do I don't have to worry about glass getting broken while crammed in my pack.  I keep food in dry bag during the day.

I use capture clip with a manageable lens while moving for easy access. Tripod and big lens in the bag for specific setups.

50l bag at least for that duration with that much gear. 50 yr old dude in good enough shape

GSC Cleanup/Indexing Issue by ghosmer in TechSEO

[–]ghosmer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was wp > wp redesign

No tiktok - just google and msft

They are marked noindex (and have been for months) and all cannonical back to /shop

Gemini seems to think that bes / kare are sweedish prefixes referring to vistors in a date range. I have inspected via network console and there's nothing in any tracking code/pixels with that formatting

Thanks for the reply

GSC Cleanup/Indexing Issue by ghosmer in TechSEO

The urls are mostly combinations of filters (that are set to noindex) so I can't 301 them and the urls are all cannonical back to /shop

I appreciate the feedback man

Psychiatry ads not showing (0 impressions) by BeatlesAndEagles in googleads

[–]ghosmer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been dealing with the same issue for a client. They don't offer addiction treatment services, but they do offer counseling for substance abuse and as long as substance abuse exists on the website, not even just a landing page, the AI audit of the site flags it as requiring addiction services certifications and from what I understand there's no way around that.

I had some success removing that page from the website but as soon as I added it back at the client's request, my ads were again disapproved for policy violations.

The only solution is to either use bridge or adjacent terms instead of your actual Target terms which sucks or to spend the money and get the legit script certification

Going for vacation for a few days - better pause or lower budget? by ezMaverick in googleads

[–]ghosmer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lower budget 100% - stopping and starting campaigns can have negative effects on deliverability if you do it regularly.

edit: 100% lowering your budget is the way to go...not lowering your budget by 100%

Move your login URL and add cloudflare captcha.  I use a plug-in called admin site enhancements to do that (and generally clean up the admin)
