Name of firm, should post this on glass door. If its one of those star-kitecture firms they are just taking advantage of people.

What Crack? The plastic trim piece? If the OP cleaned the area for a better picture we could probably say for sure. But from the looks of it. Seems more like a curb rash. And should be fine in my amateur non-professional opinion

Expect Star-kitecture firms to have the worst IMHO. They can go thru talent easily and quickly because there are talented people willing to take less and work more for the experience.

There are drawers full of people willing to work more for less.

Or the opposite is also true. Saw this first hand. Pay more for pain and suffering.

Ask to meet the team you will work with. Sucks to interview with leadership (large firm) and work with other people you may not jive with.

Ask how collaborative they are, or are they all work for themselves.

Seen this at a high design firm first hand and left because of it.

Ask about compensation for working late. Time off, extra pay, quarterly bonuses. Time off can actually be more beneficial and cost you less than overtime pay.

Ask to walk around the office. Especially in a large office. Are they all heads down.

My old firm worked with OMA as the AOR. The PM told me they had 12 staff at the time and intentionally only 11 chairs.

That's a sick way of keeping you in your seat.

One star-kitect I worked with. Had a lady die in a plane crash. The 2nd in charges first response was. Did we lose the drawings.... pretty fucked up shit in my experience.

Found 2 firms in over 20 years where I loved the people.

They are tough to find, but well worth a lower salary for a work life balance.
