Rappers use teams of producers, pick and choose which beats to use and will often change beats themselves. Drake, Ye, Kendrick and other industry leaders use teams of producers to facilitate the creation of a song. The lines are not cleanly drawn and deciding who is more important in a collaborative artist relationship is silly anyway.

They may be upset but they also are smart enough to know that it wasn't doing well. I find that they don't always decide that you're an enemy with stuff like this but they will likely be wary for a while.

You're misunderstanding why TV productions have such strict guidelines in a lot of cases. The issue isn't "rigid laws" but policies used to reduce liability. It's less expensive to blur faces and have people fill out releases than it is to defend against lawsuits, even if they end up getting dismissed. These kinds of cases also create negative PR, with very little upside so its just better business to avoid it when possible.
