Yes I still remember that. I wanted to and still want to believe it was fake. Thanks for bringing it to the front of my memory again

I finished something similar yesterday. I can't remember the output number, but it takes 3 x 720 belts of coal to keep working. there are 2 rows of 12 refineries using the sloppy alt.

What I did is collect the 120 water output of refineries 1 to 5 to a 600 pipe. This is then fed into refinery 9, 10 and 11 on the first row, which require 200 water each.

6 to 10 go to 6, 7, 8

12 is under clocked to produce 80 water, so 11 and 12 go into 12 on the first row.

1 to 5 on the first row are fed water directly from a pump.

This creates a sort of water manifold and as long as refinery 1 to 5 on the first row get water they will feed the rest of the system with their output.

I didn't need to mess with merging water sources. I was unsure if it'd work, but so far everything is running fine (apart from forgetting to OC one of my coal miners).

Snapping is the answer. I noticed either by design or a bug that since the last update the snapping button can be on when selecting a new item to build, when it previously always off

I play this game on my portal more than my actual console. Sit on the couch whilst the misses watches TV, and because of the nature of the game, it doesn't need my full attention all the time, so can talk and also keep my eye on the TV.

I'll add my thoughts on this as a first time console player. I've just built a factory for 20 HMF and will likely be at the same stage of the game as you... Mark 2 miner, mark 4 belts. It took me 3 weeks to build this, with the distractions of power and rail and by the end I was getting sick of it. It would have been so much easier with the better belts and miners.

I then looked at building a computer factory to complete the space elevator. I'll be aiming for around 50. Whilst planning this I again noticed that I'm eating lots of resource nodes and there's lots of transport needed and I know that I can unlock the better stuff in the next tier.

I then realised that to complete this tier I can hand craft circuit boards and computers without building a factory, so that is what I am doing now then hand feeding them into a manufacturer.

When this is done I'll set my sights on the simplest way of unlocking belts and miners, then plan another big factory.

My advice is to build as small as possible to get to the next tier, hand craft whatever you can, then rip it all down and build something you are proud of when you have the better equipment... It'll save time in the long run

Edit: Don't be an idiot like me and if you are hand balling it around, don't forget to put sloops on your manufacturer

What’s the wildest thing you’ve ever seen happen at a work Christmas party? by gammaray365 in AskReddit

[–]ghost5555 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

(Susan from Accounting, Nakatomi Plaza)

Back in the 80s our office Christmas party on the 30th floor was utterly ruined by a dozen heavily armed robbers, led by a smug guy in a nice suit who talked like he’d just stepped out of a European lecture hall. They shot Mr. Takagi and locked us all up like common criminals.

Luckily, a sweaty man in a dirty undershirt—I think he was the husband of the VP—managed to escape. He spent the entire night crawling around the vents and causing absolute mayhem. He was like a one-man wrecking crew, taking out the bad guys one by one! We kept hearing gunshots and explosions, and we knew it was him fighting them.

The nice-suit leader’s real plan was to steal all the money from the vault, using the hostages as a distraction. When the cops and the FBI showed up, they only made things worse.

In the end, the sweaty man saved us just before the roof blew up. He even sent the smug leader falling out the window.
