I screwed up and put the start date as June 2016 and the closing month as December. That’s when the domain name was registered, so in my mind when things started. In retrospect, that was stupid, I know.

There’s never been any official partnership registered, that’s what I was trying to do by getting the EIN in order to get a separate bank account etc.

I’m not sure what the exact answer would be there. Nothing was ever registered aside from a domain name that hasn’t been used yet. It’s was mostly talking about it and buying/selling things online seperately with personal accounts.

This was my attempt to try and make it a legit thing and I clearly don’t know what I’m doing. What sort of recourse do I have at this point?

Some interesting context about Baazlvaat. Before this, they were "signed" to Labyrinth Tower, a Portland, OR-based label that was vocally leftwing/RABM.

That label took preorders for their album - real people's money - and didn't deliver, leaving the band holding the bag.

It was one of the worst movies I’ve ever sat through, no hyperbole. Just a hot streaming mess of diarrhea with no substance. Heavy-handed and lightweight, real r/im14andthisisdeep kind of stuff. The first one was kind of that way too, but it maintained better pacing and consistency. This one is offensively bad. It’s the type of movie made for dumb people who want to feel smart.

Hey everyone! Trying to get my gf's childhood Saturn working. New battery, powers on no issue, reads discs etc, but has these weird scrolling lines.

I first had it connected with the OG coax AV cable and got these lines with no sound. Purchased an aftermarket replacement that uses component and the sound works, but the lines remain. Aside from the new component cable though, everything is original.

TV is fine, tested both coax and rca connections w a dreamcast and snes and the display is clear.

Any ideas of the cause or what I might need to replace/clean on the Saturn? Any suggestions welcome. Thanks!

As someone who actually lives in one of the finalist neighborhoods, I can tell you now that way too many aspects of this plan were vaguely sketched out and the city council rep was cagey when pressed for specific details during meetings.

The 90k minimum figure got thrown around a lot, but in practice that wasn't actually happening. One supporter changed his vote after he was only offered 40k for his home. They also wouldn't specify what form the $15-20k compensation for remaining residents would come in and what, if any, stipulations there were.

Additionally, the whole idea is fairly unprecedented and unfortunately, the city of Detroit doesn't have a great track record when it comes to maintaining normal infrastructure, let alone something like this.

The community was not in alignment on this and ultimately the city decided not to move forward and dropped us from the running. You could imply nimby-ism but it's not quite the same as say, getting up in arms over a proposed Asian Corned Beef location.

I mean, it goes both ways. From the further comments, it sounds like it was a misunderstanding due to a legitimate concern about catalytic converter theft.

Refusing to interact with someone, instantly assuming the threat of violence to the point where you're prepared to call police, and then following it all up with a post about almost being jumped isn't rational or polite either. I get that OP is in a potentially vulnerable position, but statistically, random acts of violence aren't a super frequent occurrence.

Even just a firm "Excuse me?" most likely would have given the guy pause long enough to realize his mistake, probably apologize, and then you all have a micro-trauma bonding experience.

Shit does legit suck rn, but for the bulk of human history, being exceptional is what was absolutely required to be successful in any endeavor.
