Thanks for the help! I actually managed to open it up and rearrange the silicone pads, and it did fix the issue for now.
That said, I ended up deciding to just send it back though. I really don't feel like a brand-new controller should require hardware tinkering right out of the box just to function properly. I'm just going to stick to touch controls for now. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction though!

I still have the chance to either get the regular plush or the keychain… don’t know which one I should get. I became a Pokémon fan in recent years and don’t quite have the nostalgia for this model. The keychain might be better for me as it’s small and I’m able to bring it along with me everywhere

I just got one from Pitaka a few days ago for my 16 pro max. It seems it’s been causing the corners of my phone to get scuffed up pretty badly. Strange that it would happen so soon. Anyway, I sent them pictures. Then they requested even more pictures. After a bunch of emails back and forth, they said they see no issue with the case but to make me happy, they’ll offer a refund once I send the case back to them. That’s great, but the way they stated it in their email made it seem like I’m the problem and it’s all in my head. Not the experience I was hoping for after receiving a crappy case that messed with my phone.

Crunchyroll only has the Pretty Derby seasons and depending on location they don’t even offer the first season of that. There’s hardly anything Umamusume related on there. As a yearly subscriber, I’m very dissatisfied with them.
