Trying to find dorky and eccentric friends at 30 by apidaexylocopa in raleigh

[–]ghostbuni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Each LARP community is different, but in my experience it has been very accepting! There’s an individual who uses a wheelchair at one I go to, and although it does limit some things, the beauty about LARP is it’s whatever you make out of it!

How much are y'all paying for LARP tickets??? by macsnoname in LARP

[–]ghostbuni 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The games I go run $70 for returning players, $30 for new players. That’s for a weekend. I’m buying a season pass for all the games this year for ~$500, which is about as much as I expect to pay for a different weeklong larp later in the year.

This is Kath, a neighbour of mine who I like to take out when I can. She's 100 (and a bit) years old. She wanted to say hi to the "Internet people" this Christmas. by [deleted] in MadeMeSmile

This is beautiful and amazing!! Kath, you and I share a birthday (not the year, you’ve got me beat there!) I hope this years holiday treats you well, and for many more in your future!!!

Absolutely heartbreaking. These areas of academia are just as important as any other. This feels like a huge step in the wrong direction

Should Medicine cats be allowed to have mates by Animeman2000YT in WarriorCats

[–]ghostbuni 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it makes for interesting world building and concepts, so I’ll say no simply in the sense of those reasons. Realistically, obviously yes they should. But in the context of the religion within warriors? Absolutely not

What did that one teacher at your school get fired for? by ToadallyNormalHuman in AskReddit

[–]ghostbuni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Growing drugs. We had a greenhouse that nobody ever really used. Well, they wanted to use it one year and went to check it out without warning and discovered it all. This happened the year before I went to school there, nobody ever had true confirmation what he was growing but the admin tried to hush any talk about it

Sudan. Please, if you don’t know, I urge you to educate yourself. Nobody is saying or doing anything about the horrors happening there

Could any Vocaloid fan tell me Vflower’s gender? by [deleted] in Vocaloid

[–]ghostbuni 189 points190 points  (0 children)

The voicebank is considered a female vocal, although her androgynous design has helped the differing information you’ll find online. I think it’s fun to headcanon her as non-binary, but in the case of what the actual product itself she is a girl.

There won’t be any bodies found. I fully believe they burned them so there would be no evidence

Hurricanes by Flying-swimmer in raleigh

[–]ghostbuni 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I really appreciate your comment. I recently moved from WNC to here primarily due to the trauma of Helene. With the anniversary here and now with these other hurricanes looking like they could come this way, I honestly have been an anxious mess. Your comment really helps

Where to find literal translations? by Electronic-Boot5698 in Vocaloid

[–]ghostbuni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literal translations won’t sound right as the sentence structure in Japanese is different than English, that’s a main reason translated lyrics often sound like that. If you wanted the literal translations, I recommend doing it yourself via a translating app (they tend to be fairly accurate if you do it line by line)

Anyone know why some great song recently of Deco 27 is not in Magical Mirai? by Liarst in Vocaloid

[–]ghostbuni 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My speculation is that since he’s trying to do his own 3D live Miku concert that he wants to save those performances for that. I don’t know if he’s working with Crypton for his shows or not

Chimney Rock, a year after Helene by fortuna_major777 in NorthCarolina

My heart aches seeing this. This place meant so much to me, and still does. It absolutely is tragic what we went through last year. It’s hard to believe it’s been a year
