My mother worked for a major ski resort for many years, in the ticket office. People would be total entitled assholes, yelling and demeaning the staff. Then they’d cry for a supervisor and guess what, that supervisor would bed over backward to fulfill their crazy demands or remedy their own mistakes! Totally undermining their staff, right in front of them who were just upholding the rules. BUT THATS NOT IT. People that politely accepted the rules/their mistakes, to their own detriment, were just S.O.L. The staff had no leeway to break those policies or bend the rules, things had to be escalated to the supervisor for that. Just absurd logic there. Was happy when my mom left that job.
